This is what a friend told me who is in last year at CSS, so take it with a grain of salt, but the biggest advantage for Macs in art is that their monitors are spot on color corrected or whatever, so anything you have printed is going to be spot on witht he colors you see on your monitor.

              THERE YA GO

but yeah, I dont' hate macs or anything, but **** that price.

Anybody that uses Columbian™ white envelopes instead of MEAD™ white envelopes deserves to be murdered. Columbian™ paper quality is obviously so inferior! I hate those idiots so much!!

But consumerism is one of the major ways we identify ourselves, and express ourselves to the world.

When you buy a product, you're buying the tangibles, but you're also buying a mirror that you hold up to yourself. What does it say about you that you bought the product? Do you like what you see?

My school taught all programming in .NET. Mostly because local companies asked them to. When I look at programming related job listings most of them specifically mention .NET experience as a plus if not a requirement.

I have considered getting a Mac but it always comes down to the increased price compared to an equivalent PC and the fact I'd need to install Windows anyway for a lot of stuff. Also when I've used Macs in school they ticked me off royally but those were the old candy colored iMacs. Those things were a monstrosity.

Ha, just kidding. I prefer PCs partly because I am familiar with them, but then again I am posting this on a linux box...

Anyway, all of my programming classes have involved PC programming, with some UNIX type Assembly (alongside PC assembly) in my Assembly Programming course.

                          Cool .gif.

I loathe those Mac commercials. I don't really care about Microsoft one way or other, but I do like how they've fired back. First, they have their "I'm a PC" ads with the little kids. Then they have those ads about how the PCs have the features the users are looking for and are actually affordable.

And I like this take on Mac's commercials too:
