    I think the whole fear for growing up thing really struck a chord in me, as I happen to be going through a very similar thing in my life right now.

    Also I'm a sucker for coming of age stories.

        Max is at an age where he has complex emotions, but has no adequate way of either expressing them or understanding them really. I think you're just measuring the movie based on plot rather than on the experience.

                              Oh yeah, I watched the first half-hour of this movie then I was interrupted and had to do something else and I still haven't finished it and probably won't.
