The preferable way to cook a pierogie?

It says on the back of the package that you can boil them, sauteé them, microwave them, deep fry them, or bake them. I just baked a batch of potato and cheddar pierogies, and they puff up like little pillows. But is there a more preferable (or authentic) way to cook them besides baking them? To me, this is the quickest, most convenient way that would still make them taste good.

Boil them till they float. Pour them out into a strainer, and get a pan going with either a little oil of your choice or butter. Let it get nice and hot, and pan fry those suckers till they get nice and cripsy golden brown on each side. Season with salt and pepper, and a little dollop of sour cream.

Add some green onions, sauerkraut, and bacon to the pan at the same time as the perogies for extra OM NOM NOM NOM'ness.

      What's a pierogie?
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

This is like when some guy at HEB asked me where the falafel mix was and I didn't know and I asked some of my coworkers and they said 'whats a falafel."

To satiate the jpeg lust that has arisen recently, here's a picture from a wholly different dining experience:

                    Crunk, you must be Ukrainian.

I am seconding him - boil til they float, little salt, little oil, and sour cream. OM NOM NOM.

Yeah I just fry mine with onions and bacon, eat with sour cream.

My dad works for Mrs. T's Perogis.

I microwave 'em in water and throw hot sauce on 'em.

Crunk is right. Everyone else fails.
