Should Obama's Inauguration Be Considered a Holiday?
Re: Should Obama's Inauguration Be Considered a Holiday?
Obama is already retracting many of his platitudes about renewable energy, before he is even office, and some of his would-be advisers are becoming upset.
Business interests still run America and will continue to do so for the forseeable future. Americans are unlikely to get the change they voted for.
I second IRC's suggestion. ******s cracked up, ******s wanna act up, but that's caus they fed up, 'n they jus' don't give a ****!
Re: Should Obama's Inauguration Be Considered a Holiday?
Loki's correct; the chief justice bumbled; I think he placed the word "faithfully" in the wrong place, which tripped Obama up as he wasn't sure whether to say it right or repeat what he heard.
A lot of what Obama said, of course, he was just offering us the proverbial Kool-Aid. But you know what, I think it would be some mighty tasty Kool-Aid. America needs to not only keep that spirit in mind, but to live it each day, to really embrace it, and I think we could be pretty great.
The most significant thing, in my mind, was when he addressed other nations of the world. That's a refreshing little change.
