Re: Black History Month
What?
By the way, I don't think all of 'your people' try to make out I oppressed them, it only takes one... hundred-thousand
I once watched a (black)man from South Africa who was a self-made wealthy businessman, and American Immigrant, ***** out a (black)man from America for being a whiney ***** and expecting all kinds of help from the government. Basically he felt that this guy didn't appreciate how good he had it here compared to 'back in the homeland.' I respected that man because he came to this country with absolutely nothing and he is doing better than the people who get the welfare checks.
(Obviously I was paraphrasing the man)
@Karr: I'm not saying Black History Month is meant to elevate blacks/african americans/whatever above everyone else. I just feel that all this racism will never end if we continue to propogate the idea that humans are seperated into groups. The only groups anyone should be seperated into are blood types and team sports fans. We are all human beings with all the same parts, thats all their is to it.
P.S. Egyptians are from Africa, but would you call them African Americans? Whats up with that?
