Wanna be on our staff?

Since one moderator (pandable) and two high-ranking admins (RPGDesigner, John Mora) have decided to take a leave of absence here, I'm looking to bring on some additional help. These will be permanent staff positions, unless you fail to do your job, in which case we'll just find someone else to do it and thank you for the effort.

Being a moderator is not complicated. You will be a normal forum poster, just with the ability to edit, move, merge, or delete topics from the forums you are in charge of. There's no staff forum access or anything like that, but you will have one of those fancy badges.

I need two moderators to assign to the general discussion forums. A lot of people have been complaining about how bad these forums have been lately, so now is your chance to really do something about it.

I was also wondering if one of our current moderators might want to be promoted to an administrator to help keep a better eye on the RPG Maker forums. I want someone who visits those on a fairly regular basis as part of their normal pavilion routine, obviously. This position is not something we really need, it'd just be nice to have another helping hand.

if you're interested in helping out, reply to this topic and let us know why you'd want to have one of the positions. That's all.

I will not be deciding who will be brought on by myself, it will be up to all currently-active administrators.

I'd be interested. I've moderated boards before, and I think I could do it here as well. Things have, in my opinion, gotten a little out of hand here a few times. I'd like the opportunity to step in and see what I could do, for the community. I've never gotten any infractions or been warned by the staff for anything, and I believe I'm on pretty good standing with all of the boards members. I come here every day I have access to a computer, and read all that goes on here.

I'm not a very big character around here, but I think that's a good thing. I wouldn't be biased when it comes to "laying down the law" around here, if someone steps out of line and posts something that is uncalled for, I wouldn't be afraid to deal with it. I'm not about to let people get away with stuff just becuase of their standing on the boards.

I don't contribute much to these boards, and I think this might be a way to change this. I want to make these boards good for everyone, and I think I can do that

Despite the bad rep I have at the Mag, I won't abuse mod power. That would be the last thing I'd ever do. And I seem to be on the Pav everyday with my visits around 8 or 10 a day. (maybe a little less)

I know I won't get chosen. But I might as well try.

I would be honored to be accepted for the position, and think I've been here long enough, and follow the rules well enough to be considered a viable candidate. However, if I don't even have the time to uphold my Mag reviewer responsibility, I don't think I'd have the time to undertake a position of authority here, at least not until after the holidays are over. As it is, up until a few months ago, I'd spend 3-7 (or more) hours here a day. For the past month or so, I spend 1-2 hours, 2-3 times a week, and one day with 5-7 hours spent here. So for now, I wouldn't be able to do it.

I've moded RPGM workshop for a while with no mad coups.
So I'd willing to do any of the jobs around here.

I wouldnt mind being a mod, Im here every single day(I only work 3 12-hour shifts a week, most of my other time is spent here), and I read the rules quite a bit when I see something that might violate them so Im pretty familiar with them.

I can't really say anything other then Id like to be a mod, I'll just have to rely on my past posts to speak for me, I know I talk a lot quite a bit, sometimes off-topic in the free forum, but I do bring a lot of resources and knowledge with me, especially with RPGM3, and I never hesitate to help someone out when they need it.

I also own 2 other forums with active members thats been around for about 3 years so Im pretty familiar with moderator actions and other things.

Im not going to feel bad either way, I'll just wait for the next opening, whenever that may be, but I would be happy and honored to be considered to be a moderator of this forum

And I know Im on the bad side of some people, but thats only because I got on their bad side by defending others...

I used to be a mod, and even though I can be a dick I'm not so haughty that I'd punish someone because I don't like them.

Though I think IRC imagines I'd become some kind of lovecraftian horror in any position of authority.

I'd love to do it. I think it would be awesome incentive for me to get on the forum a lot more. You know I've always wanted to be a mod.

I'd like to help in some way that was related to the RPG maker sections. I know you said you'd like for existing mods to do that, and I don't think I've been here long enough to be a mod, but maybe screenshots? I do them quite a bit anyway, but people might know to ask me if they knew that I did them.

Plus I've been wanting to help in some way.

I'd love to help out. I'm here all the time and I've got plenty of experience running boards. I own two and I've been admin at the Mag for a few years now.

I have the experiance but my age puts me at a disadvantage. I have ran my own site and modded others and know alot about forums. I'll probally not be taken seriously though because I'm 14. I wouldn't mind being a moderator for a whiel though. =)
