Hey can we turn this into a "what television shows/comics/movies/BALLS influenced you and your LIFE?!" topic?

I'd like to thank David the Gnome.

Trust me, this is EXACTLY the kind of show I would make if I could go back in time to torture my generation.

            Oh my god.

I can't believe someone else knows about this episode.

Funk you forgot to mention SO much.

How about the whole ancient indian ghost aspect? "Oh What A Goose I am!"

And how about that really creepy guy whose body parts are scattered all over the cave??

And what about when alan and margot are all demon-like and are going "Puuuunkyyyy"

Yes. I know of this episode. Not only that.....

            I HAVE IT ON TAPE.

Re: The episode w/ Punky Brewster in the cave...

I found an episode of the Batman animated series particularly discouraging.

Dick Grayson's parents just died and Bruce Wayne took him in. Dick looks up at a big painting of Bruce's parents and realizes he lost his family too. So he asks him "Does the pain ever go away?"

And Bruce replies "I wish I could say yes..."

JEEZ. Saddest kid's show ever. Batman and Batman Beyond had the biggest downer endings. Beyond was overflowing with irony. "So, you wanna be just like Inque, huh? WELL, LOOK WHERE THAT'S GOT YOU NOW, *****. HAHAHAHAA!!!"

what should he have done? jumped up, vomited balloons and rainbows and had a parade march down the street forming the word "yes"?

                          MAYBE IF HE WAS SUPERMAN.

But watching that as a kid it was quite a shock to get the cold, hard down-to-earth truth in a cartoon.

I mean, how traumatizing was it to see Optimus Prime, the embodiment of good, all battered and grey and dead? Not to mention all the other Transformer deaths.

*A Transformer clearly suffers his doom as smoke flumes out of his gaping mouth and he claws at the air*

I cried when prime died. I was 4.

the other deaths were a bit odd, Brawn died from a shot to the shoulder.

It's unfair that Prime dies while Ultra Magnus gets QUARTERED but, hey, he's repaired! ...Or does that have something to do with the Matrix or the Spark or something??

edit: I'm glad cartoons taught us what death means!

simple: magnus was part of that year's toy lineup, prime wasnt.
