      I hate working in retail.

People treat you like **** because they think they're the only people who matter and have no idea what its like to work in a store.

I'd rather have weekends off. When I was working at HEB everytime I got fed up with it and was ready to quit they gave me a 50 cent raise.

              That's an insult to salary.

What, they can't afford extra dollars now?

What? Every six months everyone got a raise.

                    I'll PM you the answer.

As for Mr. SHFC, I just believe the raise is too small.

Must be nice...after my first year at my current workplace, I think I got a quarter.

Wal-Mart inc. actually had to give me a raise to make my wage on par with other company's wages.

Then the next week they gave me a raise for a cost of living wage adjustment.

Then I got a raise for putting in 90 days the next week.

Now I make $9 an hour, an extra $1 an hour on Sundays.

I guess you could say that still sucks.

$5.15 at Sonic, which just happens to be the minimum wage in Texas.

                              $4.35 at Eagle grocery store.

I remember I was so happy when I got a summer job right before college at Arby's, and I applied at the one near my house, and they were gonna give me $4.50, but then it turned out the one at the mall needed people more, and I told them how it was pretty far, and I didn't have a car yet, so they offered me $5.50 to work there. Let me tell you, I JUMPED on that moneymaking opportunity.

Which wouldn't have even kept up with the real inflation rate even then.
