Re: Any big Memorial Day plans?

I've been meaning to go over to my cousin's house. Haven't gone since I moved at the beginning of this month since it's a little further away now. If I don't feel like going anywhere as usual I'll just watch TV and be bored like every other day. Oh, and I'll try to spend a moment thinking about the troops and whatnot. That's what Memorial Day is about right?

I had to read that a couple times to realize you didn't mean you hit her with your car.

Well, lesse, I'll just be coming back from my trip to Marcon (a huge midwest sci-fi/fantisy convention). Man, last year I had to march in some parade (I was in maching band; trombone). It was 90-degree weather and we had to march full uniform (wool oufits, man! wool outfits!). That sucked!

My neighbors will no doubt be having barbeques in their backyard. I get to smell the hamburgers and hot dogs in the air when I'm outside. But I'm not invited to their shindig. I can only drool at the alluring smell.

You could always ask them you know. "Hey just smelled you were cooking out and wondering if you had any extra." You never know you might get some free barbecue, and that would be excellent. Since we don't have a grill, my family will be having baked ribs, which are pretty good.

I wasn't that far away from my house, it was like a 5 minute drive. And I live out in the middle of nowhere north dakota...the closest thing I coulda killed woulda been a chicken.

Haha, that'd be well and good, but I don't know them at all.

They'd be like, "Hey, honey, who's that Asian girl wolfing down all our 500+ hamburgers and wearing those short shorts?"

And you think they wouldn't enjoy that? The mystery! The intrigue! The cuteness!

My dad and I got wasted and barbequed some bratwurst.

I thought I smelled bratwurst that day when I was outside. Eh, could have been just a beef patty.

Anyway, my Memorial Day was all right. Nothing special. I treated myself to a nice dinner at Sizzler, and had a buffet of steak and shrimp.

I ended the night by having some ice cream at Baskin Robbins.
