Iron Man's a douchbag now in the books. But I've been waiting for an Iron Man flick for years.
I never thought the Avengers were all that bad either. If they were to do more movies on them I'd definetly say that they would need to do at least 2 more. Captain America and Thor.
I thought the 91 Captain America movie was decent. Red Skull looked cool. And they apparently announced that Cap is the next project after Iron Man so we'll see how it turns out soon enough.
Robert Downy JR. is the perfect level of snarky for stark. This combined with the reboot of The Hulk with Ed Norton vs. Tim Roth makes me think Marvel was serious about being fed up with the slew of crap adaptations.
Also, according to their wiki, these are what Marvel's planning to do:
* Iron Man (2008)
* The Incredible Hulk (2008 - distributed by Universal Studios)
* Ant-Man (2009)
* Captain America (2009)
* Nick Fury (2010)
* Thor (2010)
* The Avengers (2011)
* Black Panther
* Dr.Strange
* Hawkeye
* Shang-Chi
* Cloak and Dagger
* Power Pack
* Luke Cage
Where the **** is Green Lantern?
Also, the awesomeness that will be the avengers movie is boggling my mind. If they keep all the same actors so far it's Downy Jr. as Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Ed Norton as The Hulk. ****.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."
