Re: Grump Factory: My "New" Blog

Hey if I have to see one comedy movie this season, is it The Informant or The Invention of Lying? Or something else entirely?

I'm leaning towards The Informant, but what do I know?

      They both look pretty good.

I'd see The Informant in theaters and wait to rent Ricky Gervais' movie.

BTW, I haven't written anything in a while. There anything anyone want me to put under my MICROSCOPE?

How about an old B&W movie from Columbia Pictures or something?

Let's be honest, when was the last time a movie featuring all the great comedians of the year was any good?

          No Aristocrats.

Are we counting Jennifer Garner among all the great comedians?

She barely even registers as a star to me. I liked her more when she was doing Dude Where's My Car?

So I went to see The Informant, it was pretty charming stuff. There are parts that are so absurd that it could only be a true story. Fiction is held to a higher standard of realism.

I'm not sure why Magus didn't update this topic, but he posted a "new" article on an "old" game, Noby Noby Boy.

Let's talk about Muramasa I guess.

I was disappointed with Muramasa's plot because Odin Sphere did a good job in its presentation without being too melodramatic like pretty much every video game. When I started Muramasa, suddenly found myself in control with no intro and simple blurb "Clear the area of bandits" my face sunk. Japanese mythology is pretty rich and for a game that mimics the historic art style they could have done a lot more.

And on the other end of the spectrum, Okami, which never shuts its goddamn mouth.
