John McCain was also one of the Senators involved in the Lincoln Savings & Loan disaster that nearly sunk our economy in the 80s before the federal government was forced to bail them out. I think it was something in the order of $4 billion dollars that the S&L defaulted on (in other words, taxpayers had to foot the bill). I know he was one of four senators involved, I believe the black mark on his record was due to bribery.

I used to like John McCain and stood by him on his stance on torture, but since then he has been flip flopping on every issue.

He is basically sleeping with the top Bush aides to get their votes. It was like he was running for president on the Republican side a year ago.

I'm going to write in my dead pet parakeet, since he could probably do a much better job than any of the other candidates. And any candidate that talks that little is good in my book.

Bush could learn a lot from ol' Buddy bird.
