I thought recent comments you have made were mostly hilarious. There have been multiple occassions where I've wanted to give you positive feedback, but restrictions prevented me. Then again, I'm pretty cynical and often find excessively offensive humor rather amusing.

        Highwind,

I accept your apology. Please don't let it happen again.

The best comedy and music comes from people who use lots of drugs and have inner demons and stuff.

well it just kind of caught me off guard, because while you've always kind of poked fun at me, you've never outright insulted me or made me feel like something I was doing was worthless and lame. you've always been someone I've respected here and it really just kind of caught me unawares. but it's fine, dude. you're cool.

I'm not going to be fake nice or positive. I'm just not going to let my distaste for things I think are stupid ruin other people's fun (as much as I can). It's not fair to anyone.

Here is something I currently LIKE.

              Metalocalypse.

This is a new cartoon on Adult Swim from the creators of Home Movies (which I loved). The reason I like it is the impecabble presentation. I'm not sure if you can really appreciate the show without being somewhat of a Heavy Metal music fan (Which I am. Mastodon's Blood Mountain is one of my favorite albums of the year).

While the writing is not exactly BRILLIANT (the endings often leave much to be desired) the aestetics of the show more than make up from it. First of all, they've nailed the characters. The lead singer is a brutal killer, the bass player is white trash and crazy, the guitar players are swedish weirdos and the drummer is a midwestern freak. The dark style of the backgrounds create a PHENOMENAL atmosphere. Seriously the best backgrounds of any Adult Swim show (save perhaps for Venture Brothers?).

The music is ultimately what makes the show, however. Brendon Small - the creator - does all of the music himself and he's a sick shred guitar player.

Metalocalypse is something I really LIKE right now.

You better damn well not change. You're one of the few people I respect on the pav. Keep it up.

But it is always wise to 'pick one's battles', so I do suggest doing that.

I wasn't too thrilled with Metalocalypse. I'm glad to hear that you enjoy it, though. At least I can understand why you like it. Home Movies on the other hand.... I'm still trying to figure out how people like that. Maybe one day I will solve that mystery.

Home Movies was created using a style of improv that was created with Dr. Katz. Basically the voice actors get in the booth at the same time and riff on a scene. This allows for awkward moments that are what make Home Movies shine. The interaction of characters is entirely genuine and unlike any cartoon ever made. There is a charm and a realness to the way the characters speak to each other and that comes from this improv-based dialouge.

That is why people like Home Movies.

Oh, and Coach McGurk. He's just a great character all around.

I loved that episode. Recording an album in the Marianis Trench is so BRUUUUTALLLLL.

One thing I like about Highwind is he can be very informative. Thanks, that was driving me crazy. Now I know what the big deal is.

And Coach McGurk was definitely da bomb!

                          AH DOOO COCAINE!!!

...yeah, we like the show a lot. That along w/ Frisky Dingo. One of my fave episodes is where the swedish guy did a PPV guitar teaching session, and "reinvented the instrument."

Blood Mountain is a pretty boring album.

LOL SO HOW YOU DOIN' HIGHWIND?

Wow. How can you justify saying that Blood Mountain is BORING?

I find it a relatively blah metal album.
