    Re: Holiday Presents

    Lots of games (mainly used)

    Dark Cloud 2
    Okami
    Wild Arms 3
    Shinobi
Enter the Matrix (yeah, yeah, it was $5)
    Legaia 2
    GUN
    Red Faction II
    God of War
    Valkyrie Profile 2
    Battalion Wars
    Pikmin
    Baten Kaitos
Paper Mario: The 1000 year door

Also a small sword (poorly made as I'm lucky I didn't put a huge gash in my wall when I swung it and the sword poped off the hilt, only some really small marks). And a small vacuum so I don't have to buy canned air to clean out my computer. I got some money from my dad as well, but I'm going to keep that, I already have enough games I haven't played. No where near $1000 though, wish I ever got that much for any holiday.

I don't think I'm getting anything this year beyond what my girlfriend gets me, which I won't know about until she gets home from being with her family in a couple days.

Somehow, this doesn't bother me. I think I'm finally detached from this whole process.

          Re: Holiday Presents

As per my family's tradition, we all opened one present Christmas Eve. I plucked out the one that I knew what it was (because my brother is four and can't keep himself from blaring whats in certain presents all over the house). Elebits. It's a cute game, reminds me of Katamari in a way.

Of course, I know what my "big" present is, because I'm long past the era of wishing for Santa to bring me things. When I wake up tomorrow, I should have a black DS lite, while my brother's getting a white one. I didn't really want one, considering I have a perfectly fine DS as it is, but my mom wanted to get me something big to go with my brother's gift, and I thought the two DS idea was kinda cute.

Other than that, I'm probably just getting a generous sum of cash to go spend on various things. I'm probably just going to go blow it on anime or something.

            I wanted a wii.

            got clothes instead.

parents bought themselves a laptop and i spent 250 dollars on their printer and stuff.

            kinda bummed, but whatever.

                    Re: Holiday Presents

                    - The complete "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy" series in paperback.
                    - "Forever Odd" by Dean Koontz in paperback.
                    - Stephen King's "Carrie"; "'Salem's Lot"; "The Shining"; "It"; "Christine"; and "The Dark Tower VII" all in decent to new hardcover.
                    - World of Warcraft and a 60-day Game Card so I have three months of free playing.
                    - Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for GC, plus a GC controller and memory card.
                    - Jack Daniel's pajama pants
                    - a bar of expensive, kind of smelly, soap from my ever-thoughtful grandparents
                    - a razor-blade set (not for shaving, for cutting boxes and things)
                    - Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (part of a gift exchange)
                    - new headphones

That's it, methinks. I gave away a bunch of my stuff as cheap-skate Christmas gifts this year, plus $20 in rolled up change to my cousin who was an asshole and refused to pick an actual gift or realm of gift-giving that I could get for him. He wanted cash only, so I gave him change. I nearly gave him $20 in unrolled pennies, but that might have been too "not in the spirit," or something. My favorite gift I gave was actually the cheapest, sans the stuff of mine I gave to other people. I gave a small assortment of guitar picks in varying thicknesses (gauges?) and shapes to a girl who's learned the guitar way faster than I did, but was always complaining that she was out of picks because they kept breaking.

Umm, my math may be wrong about this, but isn't that two months?

                        YOUR MATH IS INFALLIBLE.

But WoW gives 30 days free to start with.

It wasn't really a xmas present but since its the only thing I got I'll count it as one. My sis and bro in law bought me a shirt and pants and also some cereal and milk when I went with them to Wal-Mart. But my real xmas present was getting to spend some time with them and my niece and nephew. They only manage to visit every few years (although I was able to go visit them last Easter).

I gave my sis some handmade jewelry I'd bought for her for Mother's Day and never sent and gave my niece and nephew my old DS, Mario Kart, and Nintendogs since those are their favorites of the games I have respectively. I went to the mall with my former gf and bought her some clothes and sent my semi-former semi-bf a couple CDs from his Amazon wishlist.

Augh I got some okay clothes and my girlfriend tried with the best of intentions to get me a green lantern ring but it's too big and I'm not gonna bother to get it sized since I don't wear rings anyway.

I'm getting a new computer desk at some point during the week though and that's good.

And quantum leap season 1 I'm tough to shop for though so I haven't gotten any real good gifts for a few years.

But NO ONE figured I wanted gears of war!!!
