“It’s been my experience, that the end of the fall is only the start of the beginning.”
‘Least, that’s why my mamma always told me.
She also always told me that everythin’ was going to be okay when it was all over—
And if it wasn’t okay, well, then it wasn’t over. You know, like it wasn’t the end.
Tried to believe in that.
But by her logic, if the end was just the same as the beginning—
[Slow fade to black]
It’d never be okay.
That’s what’s funny about realizing ‘bout the end of the world and all.
Turns all sorts of people insane.
But it sure makes for one HELL of a story.
They say that reality is only what you make of it. Do you wish to live far removed from everyone else, within your own fantasy world where you are revered as a god? What if you had been given this chance, but quickly outgrew this life of hero-worship and imagination...leaving it all behind to return to your own reality.
What becomes of the worlds we create to ease the pain that we cannot deal with in the facets of reality? Those simple creatures who flocked to you like sheep...will they become lambs to the slaughter of the personal demons you left behind?
Faithless had not always been known as such. She was once a child, as we all were, innocent and hopeful, with the potential of life in service of the Guardian so quick within her grasp. But death can shatter the perceptions of such innocence, and turn a precious life into one of dispair.
Although the small peninsula country of Wicker had been far removed from the warring countries of Sunas and Lunak, the sickness brought on by bloodshed leaked it's way on the morning tides, posioning the weak, and bringing the war to the doorsteps of Christopher castle.
This is where it began, on a warm autumn morning, as young Gretchan and Stephani listened to the Storyteller and his tales of the Guardian that they loved so deeply...
This is where the fall began again.
Discuss. This is the tentive discription of the story, giving as much of it away without being true spoilers. More will hopefully follow.
The first chapter deals with a flashback where Faithless will explore the path she and her sister have taken up to the point where the second volume will continue at. The portrait type will be Drawn 5, and the overall enviornment will be positive, the rating at approx 11-14.
Being my first RPG, Whisper will not be anything new and exciting, nor will it be on par with many of the games featured here. RPGM3 will be used mainly as a storytelling tool with this game, and may be expanded in later installments. Currently, there are only two chapters planned, but a tentive series of six may be created for the full story, IF I can get off my scrawny ass and finish it.
