So I just finished Xenosaga II...

...And I liked it, a lot. I've heard a lot of bad things about this game and had mixed feelings when I bought it, but it turned out it wasn't to bad at all. I actually enjoyed the story and thought that it was very well told out (like I was).

The only thing I didn't really like was some of the new voices, the most painful were chaos and KOS-MOS, chaos when from a merry voice in ep. I to a "I'm to sophisticated for these people" voice in ep. II. And as for KOS-MOS, well she sounded like a 6 year old girl. Other than that, I think this game is in the clear.

So far I'm really loving the XS storyline, It's wonderfully written and (in most cases) spoken. I guess a potential downside is that I feel like I'm watching a movie when I play Xenosaga (a 50$ movie, damn), but I like movies so it's all good ^^

Xenosaga I's dialogue was stilted and the direction was limp or non-existent. People would just stand around and drone on about things.

I got one for free when I got La Pucelle and Risk: Global Domination.
I played for 24 hours, lost my data, and never cared enough to restart.
Actually, I fell asleep during the cutscenes twice

I liked Xenosaga okay... well kind of. Not that I would bust my balls playing through it again or anything. Xenosaga II sucks, but not as much as it blows. The whole game ****ing annoyed me. The only reason why I played through the game is because I liked Albedo.

I found Xenosaga 2 disapointing, but I'm glad you liked it.

I for one liked Chaos voice better in 2, but I feel for ya for Kosmos. But Shions and Kosmos's original voices are back in 3 though.

i just bought I and II, with the understanding that i had to play through II if i wanted to enjoy III. after a short while of playing, i realized i really had to dedicate a block of time every time i booted up the game, otherwise i'd have to quit and start some long ass cutscene all over again many many times

I liked the Xenosaga story, and I couldn't even finish 2. I had to cheat. I just couldn't stand the battle system. There is no reason you should have to wait for 3 turns just to do damage to an enemy.

That being said 3 was way better then all the xenosagas. the game flows with the cut scenes and you don't feel so much like you have pointless dungeon time and pointless movie time. It all comes togather nicely. It does feel like when you start the game you're missing out on some story that you have to read in the database, so i would say this last game got rushed. also at the end their are some story points that you have to read about in the database after you have beaten the game. other than that it was fun.

Its great you liked it. Not everyone does and not eveyone has to. Lots of people think the dialogue in the Star Wars movies was good. pffft. I would agree that the story as a whole is great though.
