My bf, Xeno, has to play games relatively close to the tv because of his legal blindness due to his albinism. Will you be able to play Wii games at a relatively close range? Some reports are already saying no...UK based Arena Magazine said that "you need the on-screen gaming area to be as large as possible to properly read your body's graceful movements." I hope that's not true.

Re: Will my bf be able to play Wii?
My "living room" is small, with my couch sitting maybe five feet away from the TV. I hope that isn't a problem, especially since, unlike the EyeToy, the Wii doesn't have to see the Revmote within a border."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Try bi-albino-poor-african-american-jehova's witness. Yeah, he had a rough childhood.
I buried that hatchet a while ago. I like games that are fun. I have nothing against the company itself, just its fans. While the majority of the games on the DS aren't fun to me, I'm still interested in the Wii and a few DS games in the future. Mario basketball looks cool, and I love Phoenix Wright. Other than that, it's collecting dust.
I have a gamecube and I liked Celda & Resident Evil 4, but other than that it was a dust collector. Yes, I tried and rented games for it, I just have different tastes then most when it comes to what I like on a handheld, which is usually a portable console experience.
It's all about the games. 95% of the DS games I've played aren't fun, or get stale within days. Wii has some cool potential. Now I'm just waiting to see if anyone will fulfill that potential.Last edited by Kire; 07-21-2006, 04:04 PM.

Nah...in fact a friend brought it over and we got pretty bored of it quickly. There's too few attacks per character, and it just gets real old quickly to me. I'd say it's still a good game and a good rental, if not incredibly overrated. I'm more of a Tekken guy myself.

Dude, me too. But I think can stay far away enough to see what's going on. If not, there's always the more traditional games. And binoculars.Originally posted by KireMy bf, Xeno, has to play games relatively close to the tv because of his legal blindness due to his albinism.Quote of the moment - "When you cut down a tree, don't stand near it."
