    Character Bio 6: Hall Gloramunde

    Hall is a gruff, stoic, and somewhat unshaven militant, who commands one particular division of the Red Saber terrorist group.

    Hall is a Technomancer. Before I discuss Hall himself, I feel I should talk about technomancers. So...:

    Technomancers begin life as ordinary human beings. As they mature, they begin to show odd talents, such as the ability to look into a person's eyes and discern their true motive. This is in itself similar to psyonics, but differs in some ways. Regardless, this type of ability is known as "The Gift", and is highly respected by the United Federation. The UF selects those with "The Gift" to become technomancers.

    Becoming a technomancer is a long, tiring, and sometimes fatal process. Those who are selected undergo three straight days of sensory deprivation, including solitary confinement, starvation, and dehidration. They are then forced into a coma. With their mind and body conditioned, they are strapped to a table, and then they have their stomach pumped and washed out. Now more lifeless creature than sentient being, they have a small CPU grafted into a part of thier body. The cpu sends out microsized versions of itself into the bloodstream. Due to the weakened condition that the person is in, his immune system cannot fight back. The CPU establishes a direct link to his brain, and vise versa. They are then injected with a tranquilizer and fed through IV.

    When they wake up, they are changed. The CPU attached to them allows them to maximize the potential of "The Gift." Using the cpu, the Technomancer has the ability to see the Ether that permeates the atmosphere. The Technomancer is able to visualize this energy, and using signals from his brain sent through the CPU, he can manipulate the Ether. When all is finished, he may confirm the process to unleash a powerful spell on his adversary.


    Hall was a soldier for the Centralian government during the World War, but attempted to defect following an attack on his hometown. He failed at defecting, and lost an arm in the process. The government seized on this opportunity to make him into a technomancer, grafting the CPU onto the robotic arm they used to replace the one he lost. He was then forced back out to fight.

    Following the world war, he dissapeared from the public eye, and went renegade. He has since joined the Florian terrorist militia, Red Saber, and commands the Red Saber division based in the Florian town of Ventra. He is reserved, tough, distant, and, when antagonized, has a viscious temper.

    And, though, at the start of the game, Hall and Zonam are clearly on opposite sides, somehow, their paths cross...
