All militias need leaders, and Aquila is no exception. The leader of this elite particular antiterrorist force is a man named Daimien Burks. (I'll talk about the 4 members of Squad B, the nonpsyonics, later. They're *relatively* minor characters.)
Daimien Burks, an intelligent and fiercly loyal tactician, was once a loyal and devoted Syolist and Centralian military officer. In the war to unite the planet, he led several tank campaigns through the southern deserts (leading to the nickname of "Desert Scorpion", and captured the entire kingdom of Hazhin by himself and his forces, which enabled Centralia to secure the oil fields they needed to win the war.
Although his job now is much more personal and less troop-based, he still is often seen in his desert camo fatigues, with a pair of binoculars around his neck.
Despite his role in winning the World War, Daimien has begun to have issues with the current administration, mostly centering around a series of excavations being performed by Troy and Asher (see Zonam bio for who Asher is, or the Asher bio when I get it up.) These excavations will be covered in the bio concerning Troy.
Daimien participated in the war out of a sense of duty and a need to spread Syolist thought to heathen regions, but has since had a change of direction. He has begun to suspect that Troy is working behind the scenes on things he'll never admit to, and that the Church of Syol is being used more as a political device than as a religion. In addition to his current duties, Daimien is also an aide to the prime minister: and has seen that position become more and more of a puppet with each passing day.
In spite of these doubts, Daimien maintains a (somewhat faked) cordial relationship with Troy and Asher. As such, he was appointed by Troy to command the newly created Aquila Squad.
