    Character Bio 1: Zonam Solaar

Notice: these bios are deliberately vague on some issues in order to avoid spoilers. Also, character concept art is on its way and will be up in about a month. Finally, it should be noted that three of the main characters *are* in their late teens, but, unlike most rpgs, there is a reason for this. Over the course of the decades just before the game, the birth rate in Anormia has dropped substantially (for reasons to be explained in the game.) This drop in population, combined with the high number of casualties Centralia suffered in the war to unite the planet, has driven the United Federation to begin using teenagers and young adults as combat soldiers. In the World War that was fought a couple decades ago, the average combatant age was 31. In the modern struggle against Florian terrorism, it is 18.

Also, for a bit of background reference on the world: Hargen is the capital of Centralia, the main state of the United Federation. In addition to being a massive city, it has floating artificial lifepods which serve as suburbs. These Pods, numbered 1-10, rotate around the city using antigravity devices. Those who live in the pods are, for the most part, upper class.

    Character Bio: Zonam Solaar

A 19 year old boy from the Hargen orbital entity "Pod Three," Zonam is subtle, kind, reserved, and difficult to antagonize. In spite of these docile characteristics, Zonam entered into the Federation military at the age of 17 - not entirely by his own free will.

When the Aquila Special Forces were formed, Federation scientist Troy Vellas set out to recruit psyonic youth into the program. Zonam had shown signs of psyonic prowess earlier in his life, and was thus drafted by Troy into the newly formed Aquila program.

However, during an initial Part/Whole test, in which Aquila psyonics are psychoanylized in order to provide a detailed report on their psyonic capabilities and the directions in which these capabilities are evolving, an undisclosed accident rendered Zonam into a coma-like state and severely damaged his long term memory. Zonam spent the next few months in cryostasis (to slow the brain damage, which was strangely beginning to spread in ways that resembled a viral infection) as doctors attempted to repair the damage done.

As such, Zonam has yet to fight alongside his comrades in Aquila, despite being the first soldier drafted for the squad.

Zonam's father is Asher Solaar, Priest Magnus of the Syolian Church. Asher was called to the service while Zonam was still in utero, and left his wife Mirabell to devote himself to the Church. Thus, Zonam and his father have never spoken, and, as Zonam is not entirely conscious of his father's familial betrayal, his feelings toward Asher are merely ambivilent.

The status of Zonam's mother, Mirabell, is unknown, as Pod Three was destroyed in a terrorist attack during Zonam's time spent in a coma.

At the time the game begins, Zonam is awoken from cryostasis prematurely as the result of a massive power failure at Federation Headquarters (due to an inside-job attack by Florian forces.) As he fights with Aquila and slowly regains his memory, a number of mysteries about his past, future, and purpose begin to emerge.
