In retrospect, the games sold much better in the US. MHX in particular sold over 50,000 copies in Febuary alone. I wouldn't rule it out just yet. If not on PSP, at least on some other console.

I'm hardly concerned, frankly. If a PSP game sells about 200,000 copies, that's fantastic. Since MHX sold 50,000 copies in it's month of release, and is apparently doing a similar job in Europe, they have very likely reached that number. Hypothetically, if we assume that EU saw as many first month sales as US, that's 100,000 alone. The titles obviously continued to sell well for a while due to all the great reviews.

Just because it bombed in Japan doesn't mean they'll just disappear. Titles that are successful in Japan and bomb in the states still go on, why not vice versa?

In addition, take a look at the Zero series. Their sales have never been stellar in Japan. Never. And it got four titles, plus a continuation, Mega Man ZX.

Its posts like this that make me wish it wasn't so easy to pirate games on the psp.

I'm highly considering upgrading, so im not further tempted to play the games i have already downloaded.

I don't think I'll ever pirate games again... I believe in this industry too much to be contributing to the downfall of some of my favorite companies.
