U.S. Release Confirmation for Devil Summoner

I rarely ever start new threads, but then again I'm rarely ever as enthused about a new game as this:

    News -
    http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3149468

    Trailer -
    http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=2470

I actually prefer action oriented battle systems as opposed to turn-based, so this looks extremely promising.

    More MegaTen is always good.

My computer sucks ass! It won't even let me read the news about the game. I've heard some neat things about it and been looking forward to adding it to my collection (when it is out of course.) I'll have to check it out on a better computer.
I had to change accounts. I'm here now - http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/member.php?u=1475

More baths would be good too, Mora. *hint hint* *sniff sniff* *hack hack*

It's not your computer Jammy, it's 1up. I don't know why but it's craptastic. I have a pretty decent laptop that's never been able to get anything from the site and a really crappy old laptop that used to be able to but can't anymore. The site is just done like a drunken dyslexic crackhead cat made it.

I'm not too hot on the monster raising, though it's probably better than it was in Curse of Darkness.

The DESIGN is pretty neat. The guy wearing the boulder hat is shmexy.
Being an Atlus game, I'd probably have to preorder it or I won't see it at all...

Because comparing MegaTen to Castlevania is so appropriate.

I'm all for monster raising games. Monster Rancher, Pokemon, Jade Cocoon, I'm all over that crap. Gimme.

What was I thinking?! They have nothing in common...

Re: U.S. Release Confirmation for Devil Summoner

I would have posted the Atlus website for the anouncement if they were swift enough to post before other websites snatched the story up.

As far as the game is concerned, the costumes and settings do seem very compelling to me as well. While each of the Shin Megami games all revolve around collecting demons, I think the creators do an excellent job of making each title distinct.

I'd probably have to preorder it or I won't see it at all...
I would recommend following the release closely. I'd expect a production cycle of perhaps 2 months. I don't think Atlus will ever have a real hit...

Atlus is the new Working Designs...but without the crazy extras, crazy translations, and weird hangup with demons and crap.

                          Jade Cocoon was offensively bad.

                          THIS LOOKS INTERESTING MAYBE

Really? I only played the second one. Then again, I stopped halfway.

                            That probably says something.

I stopped about ten minutes into the first one.

                              Piece. Of. ****.
