My first post in a while, with NEWS!

Introducing Untraditional!, the game where we promise NOT to show you anything you haven't seen, heard, or done a billion times before! Untraditional is the first game from Paradigm Productions, a company dedicated to the creation of hilarious, random games!

    GAME FEATURES

    - 3 Different endings, comeplete with suprises!

    - A vast in-game world that literally pushes the system to it's limits!

    - A smorgasboard of fun minigames including but not limited to Roulette, Platformers, Logic puzzles, and Trivia Quizes!

    - And, what else but the awesomeness that is New Game PLUS! (Yes, we CAN do it!)

    SCREENSHOTS

This is a game my next-door neighbor and I have been working on for the past year or so. Although I origionally came up with the concept for it, he was the one who did most of the work. (That doesn't mean I didn't contibute alot to the project, though! )

The game itself is 99.9% finished, all we need to do is iron out a few bugs, test out the Newgame+ scenario, and put in the random battles. (Unfortunately, all the non-boss battle are going to be throw-away fights since we can't balance an RPG to save our lifes.)

    STAY TUNED FOR MORE SCREENSHOTS!

Looks like it had a bit of work put in it. I might have to give it a go.

you have a control map, despite not being able to assign buttons in RPGM1?

well, it does look like a cool game (another rm1 game! yes! it isnt dead!) and I'll definately check it out.

      oh, one thing quick:
And, for the first time ever in RPG Maker history, New Game PLUS!
Been done before, sorry. people figured it out soon after RPGM1 came out. reset all switches, don't use treasure events through the course of the game, remove party members, and send the player back to the starting point.

Yes, another RPG Maker 1 supporter! You're cool! Say, how did take such good screenshots with your camera? Whenever I'd use my dad's digital camera the screenshots would look horrible.

Oh, I didn't know about the NG+ thing, thanks guys. (Except since our game is going to have two scenarios, we'll just take over to the first scenario one the second one is finished.)

And the control map is just for laughs. Just look at what the analog button does and you'll see what I mean. X3

The screens made me laugh. I hope that wasn't all your good jokes.

Hi, I'm one of the people who's been working on Untraditional, and I want to tell you more about it. This is the plot: You are Aier, a young boy living in Aier's Town, Oregon. When your town burns down one night, you and your friend BUHULK go off to Utah for no real reason. While there, you meet a philosopher who tells you that, thanks to a very specific prophecy, you two are destined to undertake a task. An evil eskimo named Sophomore is poised to take over the world, and to stop him you must collect the five Pendants O' Power: The golden pendant, sapphire pendant, ruby pendant, emerald pendant, and plastic pendant.

As you progress, more people join your party: Whisk, the philosopher's son and steriotypical "cool guy"; Hiidie, a poor white mage from San Fransisco's projects; Nonja, a girl from Mexico who BUHULK is fixated on; and Zusfario, an expert MiG repairman from Greenland. Together you experience such bizarre misadventures as:

•Fighting a ghost named "Christmas Ghost" by answering trivia questions.

•Exploring a floating city made entirely of candy.

•Escaping from a maximum security Amish prison.

•Hunting a ruthless man named "Jak the Axer", who's accused of genocide.

•Listening to the monolouges of Professor Quovak (whom this account is named after), who had a horrible and insane childhood.

                and MUCH more.

The game is very humorous, and pop culture references are everywhere. Parodies of other games and other media in general dot a random and bizarre storyline. We have all sorts of minigames, and hopefully you'll enjoy the writing (which I did most of).

RPGM1! I approve. You could make an RPGM1 game about cottage cheese and I'd approve.

Has anyone tried my last rpgm1 game "Cursed Desires"?

I think I will try this one, as soon as I find my dexdrive.

I've only played barely passed the begining on that game. I'll get to be playing these new games as soon as I am finished with making mine.

The game will probably be released some time between February and April. Sorry we can't give a more specific time, but we always seem to be delayed. Our original deadline was the end of August, then the end of Winter Break, now we're really just guessing.

This RPG Maker game is leaking comedy! Man if I had a dex drive, I'd be all over it! This gets my l337 seal of approval. Preview gets a 7.

                            MORE SCREENS!

NOTE: Since Qovak is being a jerk and won't let me spoil anything significant, this batch of screen is going to be considerably less than what we had planned.

PS: To prevent major spoilers in the future, from this point on we're going to release two random screenshots every weekend until the game is finished.
