I just got back from a midnight showing. I think I should wait and see what some other people think of it before I post my "review".

The movie comes out tonight? Oh, I thought it was Friday. Is that only for the U.S.?''No one has bad taste, or bad opinions. Unless they don't like Batman Begins, or they're a Nazi....''

Re: Kong
I just got back from the movie, I really didn't find anything wrong with the pacing of the movie, it really didn't feel like it was 3 hours long, I was entertained the whole time. They also recreated the 1930's almost perfectly, its pretty neat seeing the cars, plays, poeple, etc. And the special effects are some of the best out there, including the T-Rex fight (A big ***** slap to Jurrasic Park.)
Thats as far as I can go without spoiling the movie, I would give it *** out of **** stars. One of the few movies worth my time anymore, and my time is worthless.

Mmm... beefy.Originally posted by RPGDesignerI rate it a beef out of nine pies.
In all seriousness, though, I hear it is a great movie. For some reason I don't seem to want to see it. Maybe something is wrong with me.Last edited by Jamos' Old Account; 12-14-2005, 08:52 PM.I had to change accounts. I'm here now - http://www.pavilionboards.com/forum/member.php?u=1475

Re: Kong
Spiler
I think it's a bad movie that isn't bad sheerly because of the money that was put into it. It looks amazing, from skull island to old Ney York. It has the feel of the origional. All the old movies I've ever seen about the 1920s, from stuff like Great Gastby to 2000 leagues under the sea. And it's very well acted. Adrien Brody should get mad props. But I really think that Peter Jackson ruined it by bashing the audience over the head with shot after shot of Kong's face showing compassion and all that stuff about him. He might as well have jumped up on Kongs body at the end and yell out, "Do you get it yet? It was man that was the true beast!"
Oh yeah and Kong climbing the Empire State building will go down as one of the best scenes from a movie ever.
spilerThe Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.
