    I'm your pusher, baby.

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051212/...ltBHNlYwM3MTY-

Oh, so now we're not in favor of privatized healthcare for everyone. Pharmaceuticals are a profit-heavy industry, what you got against grandma investing a few bucks? Damn socialists.
So you're a fish out of water...
    Keep swimming.
    What else can you do?

The man keeping the old folks down.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

You used big words and you're not talking about games, comics, OR movies.

o_O Wow... that's unfortunate. What kind of state is the economy in if senior citizens have to sell their pills to make a buck?

Everybody I hang out with sells their prescriptions to everyone else I hang out with.

... I should probably find some new friends.

The sad thing is that they sell their prescriptions so that they can afford weed.

These people make more than me, but are always broke because of drugs.

To stay on topic, the lower middle class elderly should rise up against the drug industry.

Real friends give their prescriptions to everyone else they hang out with.

They sell drugs for more drugs? Why don't they keep the ones they got?!

I swear, the current administration would kill Social Security if they could.

Because they're potheads, by and large. They want weed more than anything.

It's actually depressing to think about, so I don't.

Why bother when you can just merge Social Security with the Department of Corrections?

Although, something's got to give, when SS was created there were 16 workers to every retiree, now it's 3 to 1, and it's expected to be 2 to 1 when the Baby Boomer generation finally hits. The estimates I've heard is that Social Security and healthcare take up about 50% of the annual budget. And Life Expectancy just reached an all time high of 77.8 years...that amazes me more than anything considering the average American's diet. You can make a lot of arguments that pharmaceutical companies are demons personified, and doctors don't know what they're talking about...but somebody's keeping our bloated asses alive for a long damn time.

I sincerely hope that Healthcare and SS take center stage next Presidential election, but I doubt that'll be the case...they don't make for good soundbites at all.

They will never take center stage when you have topic like the war and abortion and banning gay marriage and medicinal marjiuana.

Cause, you know, those things are so much more important.

The election system isn't that great when you end up choosing the lesser of two evils. Mabye if America had a multi-party system, we wouldn't get idiots like Bush all the time.

We do have a multi-party system. It just doesn't work.

Well, being able to have more then 2 parties does not make it a multi-party system. A two party system is one dominated by two partys, with other lesser ones. It is a multi-party system in the sense that, if Democrats and Republicans became less important, it would become a multi-party system.
