I am a huge DOA fan, and am I the only one that can point out the major flaws in it? Why in the hell are Kasumi and Ayane fighting side by side? Oh just F it, anything Paul WS. Anderson touches becomes a walking pile of crap. Once again, this seems nothing like DOA, DOA was a great fighting with a pretty good story where every character fought alone for there own reasons. And this is nothing like it at all, I am sure Tomonubu Itagaki is burying his own grave as we speak. If this is an example of another video game film that Paul Anderson can crap together, I am hella scared for the Caslevania movie.
I stand by my enjoyment of the Mortal Kombat movie and my lukwarm enjoyment of MK: Annhilation and Resident Evil. All his video game movies are rife with down right horrible rewriting of the plots and characters though. You just have to take it at face value and try to eke out what good there is.

Nah, I'm sure he's somewhere in japan headbanging while proclaiming that "(insert competing movie title here) IS SH-T!" just the same way that he made a similar announcement about tekken at a public event a few years ago.
Itagaki thinks anything related to his games are the absolute best, and anything anyone may compare them to is "sh-t". Oh, how I hate him.
But he did give us Ninja Gaiden, and DOA is a good fighting game that could have a way better film translation. With there casting choices, I wouldnt be surprised if they casted someone lame like John Stamos as Ryu Hayabusa.
