yup, check out today's newsposts. he's called their local police department and is trying to get them arrested. I'm guessing he's gonna be forced to try and prove his sanity again pretty soon. all this because they made the 10,000 dollar donation that he backed out of.

Maybe not to spare but I'm sure they couldn't have come up with it by themselves. But especially with their fanbase. I know I would have contributed to it if I heard someone was raising $10,000 for this.

they make a living off PA, and it seems to be a pretty good one at that. it wouldnt surprise me if they did have an extra $10,000 laying around. keep in mind all the random comics they do for different game companies too, thats gotta bring in quite a bit of money.

This is good stuff. Following the links all the way through it turns out that some group called the Hellfish made a GTA-mod based on Thompson's proposal. He deemed it insufficient and said that his proposal was mearly satire. Thus Penny Arcade's donation in his name. Also idiots out there are sending him death threats via email. Great job idiots make Thompson's point for him.

One read: "For being a total f***ing ***hole. I think video games or [sic] freaking awesome, and they are my entire life, and for you to insult them, is like telling me my life is totally worthless. For this, sir, I AM GOING TO F***ING KILL YOU!!!"

Does anyone else think Tycho's blogs are fraught with a superiority complex on vocabulary?

Is anyone else really ****ed off at what Jack sent to the police department. That man's really getting on my nerves now.

Even still though, because of this he doesn't have much of a case based on what he claimed was 'harrassment'.

I'm assuming Jack's just trying to defend himself as a Politician. Honestly, being shown up by a bunch of 'punk gamers' would really hurt your reputation. He's on his last leg.

I forget does a superiority complex mean you think you're better than everyone else? I find you constant grammer corrections to be far more annoying than Tycho using big words. He's a writer being a writer.

Whether or not the emails are real I can certainly believe that they could be real.

And I'm actually glad that he's going after PA like this. If it comes down to a lawsuit or something they're most likely screwed because I doubt they can put up with if finacially but they're not going to back down and I'm sure they're well versed in the law of what they do. They'll put up a fight and they'll do it the right way.

A superiority complex means you feel inferior in some way, so you overcompensate unnaturally. Which is what I feel when reading something by Tycho.

I just think he's a writer being obtuse because he can. Using big words might make you feel smart, but conveyance of language in the most complex terms you can think of hardly seems a natural process, and it never reads well. I don't enjoy Tycho's blogs because of this. But that's just me, and I'm picky as hell when it comes to grammar and word usage.

And I don't think I've made a post in the past two or three weeks where I corrected someone's grammar or spelling.

Do you want a cookie for it? Just to be clear are you talking about his posts on the main page or an actual blog that he has because I've only seen the news posts. I think Ryu's writing is conveyance of language in the most complex terms, but I don't see him as having any kind of complex. He's just brainy like that.

If good ole Jacky boy actually goes through with trying to take this to court, the possibilities of a judge actually want to hear this case is very slim to none.

There is no proof that the people of PA have made any threats agaisnt them. Just because the fans have doesnt mean you can hold PA accountable.

All they have done is just voice their opinion on his opinions.
