    Strategy Guide Request

Hey everyone. I think all the help with RPG Maker 2 has been great. I have a request, and I hope I am not going too far, but I realize many people would be able to make good use of this if possible. I am wondering if it is possible to have all the tips and tricks compiled into a sort of text friendly strategy guide of sorts. I only ask because I have a slow modem (at least for now, 56k, and I have to use AOL as my ISP for now, yuck) and so it takes forever for even simple pages to load. I think it would be great if there was all one place we could get all the tips and tricks in a row, and of course, credit for everyone's work, but without the comments and avatars and web windows and icons, and so on, so it is straight information. The reason being, so you can save it to a text document on the computer that you can either use onscreen as you work on RPG MAKER2, or so you can print a copy and it wont be five million pages, and you dont have to cut out all the extar stuff. I guess, I was hoping the Official strategy guide would be helpful, but you guys are all ten million times better, and you guys actually EXPLAIN things well, so I was wondering if any of you would be interested in just doing a strategy guide for those of us who aren't the greatest at programming, and need it. I love RPG Maker2, but I know I have not even gotten close to unlocking all the amazing things it can do. If i am asking too much, I understand, as I don't know much about computers or how long it would take to do such a project...but if possible, that would be so awesome. I think this could be useful for many people who don't get the software as well as others. Thank you no matter what, and if this isn't possible, thank you for taking the time to read my post

    _______________

Well, okay, what I've concluded from this search is that the best thing you can do is come ask here or at doan's, and if there's a good place with the proper info someone that's been around for a long time like me or DW can post a link, or if it's something new someone can answer your question. The truth is that rpgm2's full potential can never be reached since it's potential is endless.

      Dude, WilliamKirk,
Even if that won't happen completely, thank you so much for doing what you did. That will help tons, and save a lot of time, so I can have a lot of sources together for quick reference, and that is great. Thanks again man, I appreciate it! The pavilion is great, and normally I would be able to browse and find all this, but my 56K modem and slow load times are killing me, so thanks a bunch for putting those all together

Sorry everyone, I forgot my manners yesterday. It was a long day, and it was good to finally come home and go on the pavilion for a while and bust out some rpg maker 3. Anyways, my point is, not only thanks to WilliamKirk, but thanks to all those who took the time to figure all this awesome stuff out and post it for the rest of us. Truth is, I was really good at RPG Maker 1, Number 2 kinda lost me, and 3, as for everyone is limited, but can be fun if you can be creative enough. My primary interest is 2, since, as you guys have shown, anything is possible. I am not a programmer, but I am interested in learning someday to make my own games. For the time being, though, a lot of RPG Maker 2's capabilities are pretty greek to me, so kudos to you all, and thank you for sharing the awesome things you found out. I, as I am sure, everyone else who finds RPG Maker 2 to be awesome but crazy, really appreciate the work and effort you all did. Take it easy

I'll take it any way I can get it! (and getting it's rarely easy)

It's always good to see more people picking up RPGM2.

Anyway... Dont miss the "Sticky" thread in this forum (RPGMaker 2 Tips and Tricks 2.0 (The firt one was lost when Agetec's message boards died)).

          And I just can't resist...

I don't even have to click on that link, I know what it is.

RPGM2 is definately by far the most powerful of the three console RPGMs, but they made things a lot harder than necessary. Here's hoping Agetec really does go through with creating an RPGM2.5.

Yeah it is. I just couldn't ever get the map I wanted so I never got very far. I would always mess up and have to restart. But I do plan on trying it again this summer when I have free time (if I do). I am sure that since you put these all right here that I will look at them though. Thanks.
