    New TMNT movie.

I am very excited for this movie, but I am also very scared, but odds are that its gonna be good...

Its gonna be full CGI, based on the old Mirage series (which means its going back to its darker roots.) And written/directed by Kevin Munroe! All while barely holding a PG rating. I am very excited for this film, I am glad that they are also getting old tmnt writers/creators on board for this, they got this thing on track.

    Got a linky?
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

It's got the new TMNT cartoon's logo and that leaves me high in doubt.

The logo will probably change, besides, all TMNT licenses back in the nineties share the same logo. And the logo virtually doesnt effect how the movie turns out. Thats my op anyways.

            True.

It'd be cool if they decapitate Shredder.

                  Looks pretty interesting.

Till then, we've got the Silent Hill movie to look forward to in 2006!

I loved TMNT as a kid. Hopefully this won''t be like other things that completely rape my childhood memories.

I really hope they do a good job on this. TMNT are awsome and it would be a shame if this movie further messed up the franchise.

As long as they're not fighting dinosaurs in outer space I'll be happy.

Well seeing as this won't be out for quite a while, what did people think of the old TMNT movies? I only saw the first one. It was alright, despite not being quite like the cartoon. Now that I think about it, I'm glad it wasn't completely butchered like the Mario Bros. movie.

I liked 'em. They had a certain charm to them. But undoubtedly the sequel was no where near as good as the first. But it did have Keno the pizza delivery boy with a heart of gold.

                              Re: New TMNT movie.

I was definitely a turtle fan growing up, but I'm not too sure what they're going to come up with for this movie.

Wasn't this supposed to happen about 2 years ago? I'm not holding my breath.
Yup. There was a plan for a CGI TMNT movie as early as 2001.

As long as they're not fighting dinosaurs in outer space I'll be happy.
TMNT is a really insane and incoherent franchise. The multiple cartoon lines, multiple comic lines, the movie, and toy line basically took a few principle characters with the four turtles and their basic personalities, and reinvented the very nature atmosphere of the turtle's adventures and most of the characters as well. I liked the "realism" and grit of the first movie, but there's no TMNT canon.

I still own about a third of the Archie Comic line, and you'd never imagine 90% of the storylines if you had only seen the movies/show, etc.

                              Look familiar?

The turtles fight in the Intergalactic Wrestling Federation upon the invite of a giant flying cow head named Cudley Cowlick...for the first time.

Naked Donatello and the Sons of Existence

The turtle crew meets Christopher Columbus.

The turtles go to Jerusalem and must stop an ancient evil spirit named Animus who stole one of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

The turtle's future selves become nigh-permanent characters halfway through the series

                              The Mutanimals are all dead

                              Null, the invincible cigar-smoking demon

The turtles spent a great deal of time in outer-space

The future turtles in their cyber samurai suits....

....which was part of a suprisingly cool 5-part mini-series in which the turtles must stop Verminator X and his army of brains and reanimated cadavers from destroying the earth with an asteroid.

Raph and his fox girlfriend Ninjara break up in the third to last issue

                              And other such nonsense.

And hardly anyone would recognize the turtles in original Mirage (it was basically a black comedy) and early Image comics.
-Shredder apparently is disposed of early on. To gain revenge for Oroko Saki's murder of Hamato Yoshi, the turtles defeat the Shredder and his students in a battle and demand that he commit seppuku. When the Shredder pulls a grenade to take the turtles with him, Donatello knocks him off a building and the grenade blows up in his hand.
                              -There's a Lady Shredder.
-Casey Jones has an adopted daughter named Shadow, and he marries April.
-Leonard gets his arm bitten off by a komodo dragon
-Donatello nearly dies after falling off a helicopter during a fight with a cyborg, but lives on when his foe's cybernetic armor fuses with his body
-Raphael's face gets mutilated and he has to wear an eye-patch. He later becomes the new Shredder.
-Splinter is transformed into a murderous bat-rat after he is bitten by a rabid bat.
-Michaelangelo gets a girlfriend and becomes a successful writer

                              Yup!
