    The Inevitable FF7:Advent Children Topic

    Okay, so forgive me if this has been discussed like 1,000 times already. But I thought I should take the liberty and hype advent children like the crazed FF7 fanboy that I am. For all who don't know, square has released like 6 trailers now, each one more awesome than the next, and the movie is rumored to exceed 90 minutes in length. The release date has not been confirmed, but is rumoured to be sometime in march (March 14th, maybe?).






    ***from this point on, there might be spoilers, but nothing that wasnt in the trailers***







    Anyway, the latest trailer can be seen on the official AC website, and contains a short clip of sephiroth at very end. Its looking like he's back and ready to terrorize the cast of FF7 once again. I for one am excited, and cant wait to see a fully fledged cluod/sephiroth battle in glorious high quality CGI.

    So what are everyones thoughts? anyone counting down the days to a release date thats probably fake anyway?(thats how obsessed I am) anyone hate square for making this and want to burninate their headquarters? I'd love to hear from FF7 lovers and haters alike.

    I don't hate them for this but all of the psuedo spin-offs really annoy me. If you're going to do a sequel do it direct. That's at least the best thing I can say about FFX-2. I would rather a FFVII-2 than a movie or a cell phone game or Vincent's Quest. Everyone knows its about the money anyways. And from what I've seen of Advent Children it looks just like the FMV's from VII anyways. I've heard rumors that they're going to release this as a theatrical release. If they do that I think they're going to get a bomb like Spirits Within. Their best bet is to stick with a DVD release so they sell 25 million copies before anyone realizes it's crap.

    Personally, I haven't been paying attention to this at all and I probably won't even realize it's out until over a year after.
    The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

      The very first thing I saw of Advent Children was Cloud doing that thing with the motorcycle.

      As long as there's more where that came from, I'll consider it a success.

        It looks pretty badass so far but if their recent games are any indication Square
        cannot write or direct worth a damn.

                I look forward to this film. It's an approach I believe they should have taken with the Spirits Within movie, instead of squandering so much effort into simulating reality. At least now they're taking CG animation down its own route - stylized characters, surreal action sequences - instead of trying vainly to replace live action.

                          Oh, the characters are lovable, if shallow. But god help me if I can remember a single thing from, like, the last two discs. It was complete fluff.

                            What game that spans four discs isn't fluff at the end.

                              Tutorials can bite my arse.

                              The trailers for Advent Children is enough to get my hopes up. I could care less about direction or story as long as it looks pretty and Tifa's boobies bounce.
