The nerdiest thing you've done, videogame-wise

I got my import stuff today, which included a 3 disc Etrian Odyssey III soundtrack, and a 4 disc Tactics Ogre soundtrack.

I'm planning on ripping both to my PS3, and over the next few days (I'm on vacation for a week starting after work at 4:15 tomorrow), I'm also planning on playing both Tactics Ogre (on the PSP, obviously) and EOIII (on the DS, obviously) and listening to their respective soundtracks via the PS3 and my home theater while I play each (separately, of course).

Yes, this is certainly not something to brag about, but I'm sure we all have stories about the nerdiest videogame-related stuff we've done. So spill 'em!

I certainly have my fair share of Video Game OSTs, which i listen to regularly.

Nerdiest thing I have done was type up a 5 page summary/Interpretation of FF6 for a high school english assignment. Looking back now, I appreciate how supportive that teacher was in the endeavor.

    And I'm damned if I do and I'm damned if I don't
So here's to drinks in the dark at the end of my road
And I'm ready to suffer and I'm ready to hope

      Kupid may be considered nerdy.

So might the RPGT4 translation project.

But, as far as video game playing goes - stat-maxing all the characters in FFX, might count as nerdy. It certainly took dedication and a few 24/7 gaming sessions. I had a few hundred hours on one save file.

But I never did anything like NSGNSNCNONENNENBB, or the related challenges. Sadly.

I guess I'm not that nerdy when it comes to video games.

Put me in the OST category: I guess the nerdiest thing I've done is import the Katamari Damacy and I Love Katamari soundtracks. Any time an American imports something otherwise unavailable outside of Japan it makes them nerdier than 90% of the rest of the American population.

I like playing DDR, and I'm relatively "GREAT!!!" at it.

Sometimes I gather a crowd and feel like a badass and a giant nerd at the same time.

I think the nerdiest things I've done were importing Mother 3 back when it first came out, and listening to the soundtracks for Lunar 1 and 2 in my free time, that isn't that bad though, considering they came with the games.

I have the soundtracks of Actraiser and DKC 1, 2, 3, and 64. I am looking for more vidya music. Suggestions?

Why in god's name would you want to listen to the music from Donkey Kong Country while not playing the game(s)?

DKC has GREAT music. I've listened to Stickerbrush Symphony quite a few times outside of the game.

I did the same thing. I even printed out the translation from GameFAQs and put it a big (red, of course) binder. It may have been clumsy but it's also one of my fondest gaming memories. Playing the game for the first time, binder in my lap, peplexed roommates watching over my shoulder. Wonderful experience.
