Stop slowing down time, dammit! Why can't it be the 8th already and why can't the game be in my claws right now? With that said, the game is indeed coming in a week now. Ya know, if you forgot. Which I couldn't because I've been counting the days, the hours, the seconds! Maybe that's why the wait felt so long. Who else is getting this game? I highly doubt I'm going to be the only one. I preordered the signature edition which gives you a bit of DLC without paying a dime more. Though, I guess that won't help me any because I can't go online with my PS3 and I'm sure the game just comes with codes to get the DLC. Oh well... is it out yet?

I'm in the same boat as you. In fact, I've been wondering why there wasn't a topic for this. I'll be picking it up on day one for the PS3. I'm super excited for it.

I played the demo and was blown away by how much cooler the combat is. I can hardly wait.

I've been hesitant on buying this. I don't know why, I'm on board for anything Bioware usually.

I'm going to miss not being able to choose and customize race.

I've had this pre-ordered since August.

DA:O was one of those nice surprises that made it a little easier to get through those really stressful times at work.

I can very much use DA 2 right now.

I'll probably pick this up once it does a price drop or three. I liked the first one well enough, but when I had to wipe my HDD, the save file was not able to be backed up, so I lost 40-50 hours or something. Never really had the motivation to play it PLAY IT again. I picked it up a while back, got about 7 or so hours into it, and ended up moving on to something else.


I'm sure Dragon Age II will be worth playing. But there's SO much other stuff I need to play. I think I'm gonna make it a point this year to not buy any big-budget games until they do a few price drops. Except for Portal 2. And The Last Guardian. Those I will buy day one.

I wanted to get the signature edition but they weren't offering it on Steam at the time, because EA wanted to make sure that their downloader was used instead. So I am hoping that there comes a Digital Deluxe edition soonish. If not I would have to pay jsut to get one of the companions that is already in the game...

If you wait long enough, you can just pick up the everything-included edition with whatever downloadable content is scheduled to be released in the next 6 months.

Awakening was better than I thought it would be, but a lot of the other DLC I've heard is easily skipped.

For my part, I'm marathoning ME2 to try to catch up and DAII is just going to have to wait.

Mora, I got the impression that you were done with trying to play the game, from what I gathered in the DA:O thread. Although, to tag on to this: I'm not done with Origins either. My dwarf "speed-lawnmower" build is still stuck in Denerim.

Only DLC I've completed was Leliana's Song and The Darkspawn Chronicles.

Still don't like the fact that I'll be stuck as a human. I'd better get the option to choose a gender, at least.

I tried doing Denerim first, like Morrigan suggested (for once, I listen to her). I'm begining to think I have to do the others first, since I can't seem to go anywhere. I've already done most of the other segments before. Edit: You still playing a rogue?

I guess I'm the opposite of y'all; although I enjoyed Dragon Age, my not visiting any game sites regularly anymore meant I had no idea at all this thing was coming out so soon until a couple weeks ago. I had just assumed it was a fall release. I know I'll like it; I haven't had anything but fond feelings for a Bioware game, unlikely that'll change any time soon. But I have no shortage of stuff to play, including a couple games I bought and haven't even popped in the tray yet (plus the massive timesink that is Tactics Ogre). So I'll probably wait on this one to drop in price instead of snagging it right off.

Yes, I'm playing a rogue. And from listening to other people talk, it seems like they really did not balance the game very well for a rogue.
