    Food poisoning

Has anyone here ever had it? I'm pretty sure that I do.

I just wanted to know if an aching back and limbs might be part of it. Possibly a side effect of dehydration? It hurts when I walk some times. I've also had some other symptoms that seem to point towards it, but those are kinda embarassing.

Muscle weakness and fatigue from dehydration can make your body ache a lot. It depends on how bad it is.

Regardless of the other stuff going on, dehydration can be extreme. If you're not able to drink or eat for a while, you should go to the doc.

Well, what did you eat recently that might have caused it?

Well, I've eaten things that have made me sick to my stomach several hours later, usually get better fairly quickly after vomiting. I don't know if that is consider food poisoning or not. But I do know that sometimes it is hospital worthy. My grandfather spent several days in the hospital from food poisoning once.

I've had it a couple of times in my life. Once was when I was in 8th grade (kept me sick through my birthday), and then my freshman year in college. Suffered extreme muscle fatigue, chills, and extreme dehydration. Wasn't sure what was wrong with me and went to the hospital in the early early AM. ****** orange. Yeah... both weren't great experiences.

There are a lot of things that can come from food poisoning, not merely gastronomic but also orthopedic. A lack of food can give you severe headaches, so conversely eating the wrong sort of food could cause the pain you're experiencing.
Personally I have a stomach composed entirely of tempered steel and solar-level-heat fire, but that's a different story.

              Re: Food poisoning

If some of things that are embarassing to talk about include diarrhea (especially on a frequent basis), than that WOULD dehydrate you, and you WOULD probably get muscle cramps, etc. Gatorade/Powerade is good for rehydration, as it replenishes salts and potassium lost (which leads to the muscle aches).

I had salmonella when I was 10... kept me in the hospital for a week... at home for a month.

Aches and pains are definitely a side effect from the dehydration. Is it just when you walk? Vomiting can really do a number on your core muscles so it would hurt to sit up, turn, etc.

I dunno if I have. Probably. I don't really sit back and analyse it when I get sick, it's just more like, "****... well, I threw up"

I went to a Chinese buffet. I'm pretty sure that's what did it. Probably some kid with dirty hands stuck them in the Lo Mein.

I haven't vomitted, but I have had a great loss of appetite. I finally ate after 21 hours, but all I could muster was getting some chicken soup down. And then I had to use the bathroom three times immediately after that. I have been drinking plenty of liquids, and I think the dehydration is pretty much gone. I drink about eight ounces of liquid for every time I use the bathroom, and I think that is really helping.

I am just afraid to eat because I'm sick of what happens immediately after.

                            I'm allergic to eggs . If I eat this I'll die .

The pain in my **Censored** is eating at restaurent . I ask the people who work at the restaurent for example The Hot Dog's bread contain any egg in it? ( I love eating in a ''P'tite patate'') . They say some time : '' We don't make the bread so I don't know '' So I tell her '' Go see the bag . All ingredient write on it '' . One time she make me upset : '' If you do a reactions we are not reponsable '' . This time I've don't gave a tips to hers

I think I got food poisoning in Panama. Either that or some foreign flora set up shop in my bowels and pumped out some nasty toxins.
