It's not anime. I didn't see a single mention of a Japanese production company in there. It's gonna be farmed out to Korean studios, guaranteed. It's a Western property proposed by a Western company that isn't going to be touched by the Japanese... how is this anime, again?
EA seriously needs better writers, and animation studios that are actually worth a damn for these animated films.
Dead Space was awful, and the only legit anime in Dante's Inferno was the Limbo portion by Manglobe. The rest of the film is awful, but try to watch the Manglobe part, that alone is worth it by itself.
I like Dragon Age a lot; it's a tad weak compared to other Bioware titles at times, but consider that the worst Bioware RPG could easily be the best from many other developers had they made them. Definitely didn't expect a film from it, least of all anime. Strange, to see that for a Western RPG. Is this a first in that regard?
In any case, color me mildly interested, but skeptical. Not the world's biggest anime fan.
"Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity."
I haven't played Dragon Age but it looks like a fun game, and even if it's a property that I don't like (Tomb Raider, anyone?), I'm always happy to see when a video game is deemed important enough to make the jump into other media.
Especially an adventure anime.

Hmmm... can we call it "anime-style" then, and laugh about it over some Orange Juice Drinks (contains 0% juice)?
Animated media that's either hyped up marketing crap for kids or classic studio shorts from the golden age of cinema = cartoons.
Animated media that isn't intended for kids = anime.
It's patently ridiculous of course, but that's what it's coming off as to me.
I'm with Mora on this. This isn't Japanese produced, so it's not genuine anime. It looks like it's getting slapped with the anime label because the company producing it distrubutes anime here in America, so they're probably calling it anime for marketing purposes.
“We are thrilled to be working with EA and BioWare on the production of the Dragon Age anime feature,” said Gen Fukunaga, President and CEO of FUNimation."
FUNimation definitely releases a ton of anime, just sayin'. Of course they don't make it as far as I know, they license it and ruin/dub it. :P
They produced Afro Samurai, but I think that was well-publicized as a co-production with Gonzo or Madhouse. Since I didn't see a Japanese production company mentioned, I'm going to assume none are involved.
