Sure, Valk, I've give it a go.

    1) World of Warcraft (2004)/WoW:Burning Crusade (2007)/WoW:Wrath of the Lich King (2008)
    2) Katamari Damacy (2004)/We Love Katamari (2005)
    3) Rock Band (2007)/Rock Band 2 (2008)
    4) Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (2003)
    5) Fallout 3 (2008)
    6) Animal Crossing (2002)
    7) Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003)
    8) TimeSplitters: Future Perfect (2005)
    9) Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004)
    10) Dragon Age: Origins (2009)

Alas, a whole decade and no worthy Final Fantasy title to be in the top ten.

Not gonna put these in order...

      Skies of Arcadia (DC, GC)
      Demon's Souls (PS3)
      Flower (PSN)
      FFTA (GBA)
      RPGM3 (PS2)
Etrian Odyssey (if I HAD to pick, I'd pick the second one) (DS)
      Morrowind (Xbox)
Rock Band (series) (multiplatform...have it for the 360)
Gladius (multiplatform...have it for the Xbox)
Phantasy Star Online (DC, Xbox...never had the GC version)

Honorable mention to Portal (multiplatform...have it for the 360)

So, in terms of the consoles I own these games on (counting original platform and not ports), it goes something like this:

      Dreamcast-2
      Xbox-2
      PS3-2
      GBA-1
      DS-1
      PS2-1
Xbox 360-1 (plus an honorable mention)

No surprise there, as the DC, the PS3, and the original Xbox I've held for some time now to be my favorite three consoles.

Re: Your top 10 games of the decade.

I've been writing up a blog article for the most "influential" games of the decade. Influential isn't synonymous with good, it just means these are the games that garnered a lot of attention.

Ico - Practically began the whole "games as art" movement

Baldur's Gate 2 - Consistently quoted as the best PC RPG ever.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - A good Star Wars game based on the expanded universe not made by LucasArts AND it's a console exclusive (for the time) PC style RPG? Yes, please.

Half-Life 2 - Introduced a focus on environment based puzzles and unique items in the stale FPS genre.

Deus Ex - Expanded on RPG mechanics and multiple story paths in a first person setting.

World of Warcraft - Destroyed the competition and turned the MMORPG market on its head.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind - Revolutionized the PC style RPG and created a demand for sandbox games.

Grand Theft Auto III - Revolutionized the console action game genre and created a demand for sandbox games.

Guitar Hero - Brought rhythm games and, to an extent, casual games as a whole into the mainstream spotlight.

Halo - Brought first person gaming to the consoles and made it profitable and actually work.

Now, my personal top 10 list of the 2000s in no particular order

          Ico
          Baldur's Gate 2 + Throne of Bhaal
          Knights of the Old Republic
          Demon's Souls
          Morrowind
          Deus Ex
          Dragon Age: Origins
          STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
          Civilization IV
          Katamari Damacy

Sneaking in #11 is Sacrifice or Brutal Legend. I love both games but... I hate making lists

Here are my top games of the decade. To keep the list from being flooded with MR and Pokemon titles, I opted to include only my favorite game in each series released during the 2000s.

              1. Monster Rancher 3 (PS2, 2001)
              2. Super Mario Galaxy (Wii, 2007)
              3. Mega Man 9 (Wii, 2008)
              4. Pokemon Platinum (DS, 2009)
              5. Bomberman Generation (GC, 2002)
              6. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (DS, 2005)
              7. Final Fantasy XII (PS2, 2006)
              8. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2, 2004)
              9. Mega Man X8 (PS2, 2004)
              10. Armored Core 3 (PS2 2002)

Honorable mentions go to Monster Rancher Advance 2, Bomberman Blast and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. While they're quite possibly the best games in their respective series, the games on the list hold a special place in my heart and ignited my passion for those series more than any other this decade.

Re: Your top 10 games of the decade.

                  1) Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)
                  2) Persona 3: FES (PS2)
                  3) Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2)
                  4) Team Fortress 2 (PS3/360/PC)
                  5) Final Fantasy X (PS2)
                  6) Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)
                  7) Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)
                  8) Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
                  9) No More Heroes (Wii)
                  10) The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (PS3/360/PC)
                  ----------------
                  11) Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
                  12) Heavenly Sword (PS3)

This list was hard to make, especially since there are games I have yet to play this decade that I feel would have made the list (i.e. Demon's Souls, Fallout 3). Metal Gear Solid 3, though, no doubt in my mind is the best game to come out this decade. Every element in this game is just fantastic beyond belief - the story, cutscenes, characters, and dialogue. The gameplay with its many different ways to play/tackle a situation approach. The memorable boss fights (The End and especially The Boss). The collectables (camo, masks, animals, plants, shooting the frogs). The jungle setting. Just all...great. I've beaten it eight times, more times than I beat any game that came out this decade, collected everything, shot all the frogs, and beat The End in all four ways.

I tried to squeeze Heavenly Sword in the top ten, especially since it has the greatest cut scenes around. However, it lacked the exploration of Oblivion and Twilight Princess. GTA: San Andreas would probably come after Heavenly Sword because its map is so fun to explore, but I'm not going to bother to put it on the list because playing the missions sucked.
RPGM1 game: [Sexy Blues: Revenge of the Poo King]

Re: Your top 10 games of the decade.

                    Not in any real order...

Prince Of Persia - Sands Of Time

I really wish they didn't try to get all dark and grimy with the last two. It really turned me off on the franchise.

                    NHL 09

This game was incredibly well made, be a pro, EA online hockey league, all sorts of great stuff to it.

Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Very well done story, and of course some of the most addictive multiplayer out there.

                    WWF No Mercy

BAH GAWD KANG MANKIND'S BEATING UP TRIPLE H WITH THE ROCK'S AUTOBIOGRAPHY WHICH IS REALLY FRIGGIN HUGE!

                    Team Fortress 2

                    I touched Sasha...

                    Jet Grind Radio

Maybe the only video game soundtrack I own.

                    Psychonauts

Extremely funny and charming. It was criminally unappreciated.

                    Phoenix Weight: Ace Attorney

I've played this though maybe five times now. The story is absolutely engaging.

                    Saints Row 2

I'd put a GTA game in this, but this was really the GTA game I had the most fun with. Especially since GTA 4 tried to be taken more seriously.

                    Audiosurf/Frequency/Amplitude (Three way tie)

I refuse to only have one of these three on here. Since all three were/are fantastic.

                        In no order...

God of War 2 (could put the whole series here)
Rock Band 2 (would put Guitar Hero 1 here for sheer influence, but RB2 is best game)
                        Fallout 3
WWF No Mercy (last great wrestling game)
                        Half Life 2
                        Portal
                        Braid
Prince of Persia - Sands of Time

I have to disagree on a couple things...

                          1) Ico was not that influential. It influenced games, to be sure, but none of them were really mainstream. Even Ico itself is a cult title at best.

                          2) Bulder's Gate 2 was good, but I don't think it really influenced any other games. Ditto on Dues Ex and KOTOR.

                          3) Halo was extremely influential, but it wasn't the first console FPS to achieve mainstream popularity and financial success. See: Goldeneye, N64

I think for a game to be influential, it had to have introduced a style or mechanic that went on to be copied by many other games. Additionally, the game itself or a few of its "offspring" should be mainstream titles.

My influential games list would be:

                          Grand Theft Auto III
                          Guitar Hero
                          Halo
                          World of Warcraft
                          Diablo II
                          Max Payne
                          Half-Life 2
