The year-end onslaught begins. let's see your lists.

it's that time of year again. where our wallets scream. what have you gotten in the past few weeks, and looking forward? or just want to get if you had the money but you dont so instead you'll pretend you'll get it even though you won't (which is what I'm doing for a lot of these)?

    me?

    Wii
A Boy and His Blob (maybe)
    Dead Space: Extraction (maybe)
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers
    Metroid Prime Trilogy

of course, like most people, I wont be getting these as they come out, and will still be buying these games far into next year.

And most games seem to have been pushed to Q1 2010, at that!

Anyways, isn't PS0 on DS? And terrible?

Limiting myself to one console makes the holidays a little easier to bear, but Muramasa is the first game that I feel like I'm really missing out on for the Wii.
Of course, all of these are supposing they live up to their potential.

          PS3:
          Brutal Legend
          Uncharted 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum (expecting it any day now)
Demon's Souls (imported a few months back)
Borderlands (I've got high hopes for this one.)
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time
          Assassin's Creed II
          Dragon Age: Origins
          Heavy Rain
          FF 13

Likewise, I'll slowly accumulate these over time.

I really don't care for this generation, I've realized. Might help if I actually owned one of the consoles.

My list consists of NHL 10 and FF13. Oh, and that Wii Silent Hill game too, I guess.

                The "Already Preordered" List

Dragon Age Origins - Deep down I feel this game will dissapoint me because they're trying so hard to relive the feeling of Baldur's Gate but the story and art direction so far are terribly boring.

Torchlight - A really, really awesome looking action RPG from a small company that looks rad.

Alpha Protocol - As much as I love Obsidian those guys need to hire some farkin' animators that don't suck. Spy thriller RPGs aren't exactly an every day thing but I can already expect this game to be riddled with bugs.

Scribblenauts - If the gameplay truly outshines the novel idea this may be the most important game of the 2000-2010 decade.

Gratuitous Space Shooter - Eclectic mix of tower defense, RTS, and bullet hell games. Sign me up.

Demon's Souls - Atlus really went all out with the packaging. I played through about 40% before the localization was announced and this game is damn impressive. Hopefully Atlus fixes the interface because the original's menus have abbreviated attributes and 20 glyphs you're supposed to memorize.

Brutal Legend - Tim Schaffer. That's reason enough. I know I'll be reliving Full Throttle memories playing this game.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade - I like Vanillaware and this game looks like a culmination of what they learned with Odin Sphere (IE keep the difficulty, change the damn levels up some).

A Boy and His Blob - I'm one of five people that liked the original game and contemplated jumping off a building when the DS version was canned. The guys behind this made the incredibly faithful Contra 4 and the underrated Shantae so I can't wait!

Katamari Forever - I love Katamari, I love this game's art style, I love the new additions to the levels, love love love love love

The 'Probably When It's Used' Pile

Lunar: Silver Star Harmony - Just not that excited for a Lunar game.

Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - The last DS game lacked the charm and level design of the GBA one so I'm not too excited about this.

Metroid Prime Trilogy - Haven't beat Prime 2 or 3 yet but I don't care to play these just yet.

Uncharted 2 - Nathaniel Drake is my new favorite video game hero and some of the new features sound great. Unfortunately it sounds like the devs are pouring most of their resources into multiplayer which I just don't give a damn about. I don't want this to end up like the first game: a $60 double feature movie ticket.

Borderlands - Love the art style, love the huge random generated armory, love the big open world and design but it lacks that certain "something" that gets me excited about a title.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 - Huge roster of characters and a branching story but again it lacks that "oomph" which makes me want to preorder a game and play it then and there.

Mario & Luigi: BIS, Scribblenauts, and Beatles Rock Band are the only ones that interest me. I also still need to pick up Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

Of course, I would also love to get Katamari Forever, but it would be the only game on the PS3 (don't own one now) I would buy and it doesn't seem worth it right now.

My preorders right now are Scribblenauts, Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls (Deluxe Edition), Muramasa, and Bayonetta...maybe Persona for PSP, I can't remember.

As for my list for end-of-the-year purchases (that have not been pushed back until next year) that are not listed above...

Well, I'll probably end up picking up Beatles Rock Band. Still hemming and hawing on DJ Hero. Already picked up Batman Arkham Asylum. The only other BIG game I might end up getting is Uncharted 2. Watched my buddy play some of the first one, and was not impressed. But the E3 gameplay demo for Uncharted 2 blew me away, so I might be willing to give this a shot.

Oh, and I'll probably end up getting The Last Guardian, but that'll probably come next year.

port of the old Playstation versions. Supposed to be released this year, but was delayed.

I'm aware it says canceled on that site, can't find the original article on Kotaku

I havent heard anything about the PSP ports being released outside of japan. checked the major megaman sites just now, and I cant find anything. nothing at capcom, either.
