Yeah, lots of people do this, and I'm doing it too.

My world needs to be populated.

Here's how you can be a person in it.

go through the RPG Maker XP RTP (http://tkool.jp/products/rpgxp/eng/download.html), and select a character sprite. Make sure it would fit in the game world (1940-1949 America). tell me which one it is, and give me your real name (no screen names will be used)

OR

go to the looseleaf character creation page (http://www.geocities.jp/kurororo4/looseleaf/) and create a character, making sure that it would fit in the game world. print screen, paste in any image editor, crop to the very edge of the background color, save as bitmap, and repost in here, and give me your real name (yeah, no screen names).

finally, specify if your character is friendly, or unfriendly. This will decide where they are used.

you don't get to pick what your character will say. Characters will be used as NPCs only, will never join the main characters. first names will only be used in dialog, and last names will only be used when checking mailboxes.

can't use jpegs. have to be bitmaps. jpegs have artifacting that screw up their display in-game.

also need last name, unless you want me to make something up.

Jason Commander - friendly.

This might not last forever on xs.to so please let me know if it disappears before you can use it, and I will re-post it.

got it.

Obright, yours has really blurry edges. I dont know if I'll be able to use it (which is why I suggested bitmaps, because unlike jpgs and even pngs, there's no chance of it having blurry bits).

I might be able to clean it up though.

Ok, they were png's in the rtp, so I kept it as that. I made that with the looseleaf thing, and couldn't figure out how to save it. Should I try and duplicate it? Just let me know.
