    Some of Rincar's features

I have posted Rincar's features before, but since it's has become basically my progress log, I'd like to keep the on a separate topic, for easier viewing.
This way it'll be easier for me to update, add or delete features as I see fit.

    NO RANDOM BATTLES
This isn't something new or exciting, but I think I should mention that all monsters are visible on the map. They might not be entirely avoidable, but at least you can prepare in advance if you are low on health.

    CITIZENS
Instead of getting tools to solve dungeons and puzzles, or gaining access to new areas, Bill must rely on the powers of his neighbors.
An early example: To hit a far away switch, Bill must throw hos wife's cat to hit it, but before progressing, he must find a way to get the cat back.
And some neighbors might require some convincing before lending you a hand.

    BOOKS
As you find books, you'll get to play as another citizens while Bill is reading one of them. This will open optional dungeons, some prizes, maybe a mini game or two, or simply will allow you to know what happened in the town while Bill was out adventuring.

    PASSIVE MODE/RUSH MODE
Passive mode is the part of the dungeon where you are exploring and solving puzzles, with the occasional battles. Rush mode consist of a series of battles without rest, usually coming before the Dungeon boss. Usually, there's a battle cut scene involved too.

    TOKENS
Tokens are the currency in the world of Koralia, but they are not only used to busy stuff. In fact, the only (or main) thing you can buy in Koralia are snacks , food and unprescribed medicine (in other words restorative items)
Their other use is during battle.
When you encounter an enemy, you'll have the option to fight it or flee, but fleeing will cost you a few tokens, depending on the area you are. Additionally, in the case the party is defeated, you'll be able to keep your experience and progress, if you have enough tokens. (You'll be sent back to the beginning of the dungeon, tho)
Now, while almost every monster drop tokens, they don't drop too many tokens (a single monster won't even drop enough tokens to flee from one battle, but probably enough to buy at least 1 bag of chips to heal HP)

Token usage early in the game
    At shop...
    Restorative items: 2-3 tokens

    Touching an enemy...
    Flee from enemy: 5 tokens

    After being defeated...
Recover HP after defeat: 25 tokens
Recover HP and SP after defeat: 35 tokens

If you don't have enough tokens to recover HP after defeat, sadly, it's Game Over. (I wanted "Give Up" to be an additional option, if you didn't want to use tokens, but unfortunately, I can't seem to force a game over )

    In consideration:
    House customization
I'm not sure how or if I want to do this. I have to give it some more though.

    Multiple party members
I initially wanted to be have as many switchable party members as possible, but I don't think I'll be able to keep a balanced team this way. So for now, extra characters will be limited for the book side quests, and some story dungeons.

    Custom sprites
As I've said many times. I'd really like to try some custom sprites. But I suck at anime maker. SO it all depende if I find some sprites that would fit one of my mental villager descriptions.

    Re: Some of Rincar's features

I had to drop part of the Token System, since the pay to flee/revive during battles consumes an insane amount of memory.
    So here's the new concept.

Tokens will still be used to buy restorative items

    The help center
To get stronger and being able to survive the next dungeon (or simply access it) Bill will have to help his neighbors to get upgrades, skills, or a new ally. But instead of going house from house to see who needs help, Bill has a device that takes him to the Help Center.
Here he'll see images of his neighbors in need. When you help one, their image disappear, so you'll know you didn't miss anything if you clear the Help Center of images. You don't need to enter here to help them, tho.

You might even find a quest that's only available after you check certain images, and to reach those, there will be some puzzle solving.
