Ron Paul: "I don't believe in evolution."

    http://onegoodmove.org/1gm/1gmarchiv...ul_on_evo.html

And uh, I uh, I think it’s a theory. The theory of evolution. And I don’t accept it as a theory. [snip] The creator that I know created us, each and every one of us and created the universe, and the precise time and manner and uh, you know, I just don’t think we’re at the point where anybody has absolute proof on either side.
He thinks it's highly inappropriate for the presidency to be decided on a scientific matter, apparently.
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

    Ugh.

Again, the misunderstanding of what theory means in science.

I don't understand why a bunch of moderates like Ron Paul so much. A republican who's against the war is still a republican. I don't want to generalize along party lines but it seems to me that a lot of people support Ron Paul without really knowing where he stands.

Seems you're kind of generalizing what Republicans are about.

I admitted that I was the post. It's just I don't want to. There's plenty of republicans who are against the war, recognize evolution, support gay marriage and freedom of choice, but there are more that fall within the sterotypes of the party.

From the people I've talked to though, the impression is that Ron Paul is the "cool" republican candidate because he wants us out of Iraq. But he's also against, homosexuals, for example, and wants to reenact the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and kick all the gays out of the army.

What can I say, I'm against a lot of what he stands for and I don't want fence sitters voting for him just because he supports isolationism.

Though it's not likely he'll get the nomination anyway so this whole rant is pretty pointless.

I'm pretty sure he's not against gays, just he thinks it should be up to the states.

              Thinking that is bad enough.
              It shouldn't be anybodys business.

Hmm I guess even Ron Paul has his flaws.

all i know about ron paul is all the stupid signs i see for him. people who are for him are REALLY for him. i thought he was that cross dresser at first

then i saw a car plastered with ron paul bumper stickers and an "nra" one, so i was finally able to figure out which party he belonged to

I do wish more canidates would have a whole "I feel this way but it's not just up to me" thing like the kind John Kerry had with abortion. At least, I'm pretty sure he had a stance like that on it.

                            Maybe.
