my itunes has crashed and refuses to reinstall

quite a pickle im in.

i went to update my ipod so i load up itunes and see there is a new instillation ready to update so i accept it and it downloads. half way through it hangs then a message pops up during the "registering to automated service" that some files are missing.

so i go to their site, i uninstall what itunes i have and dl the new one and it freezes at the same part. seams im not the only one, the tricks they suggests arnt working and i think my library is gone.

I've had loads of iPod problems and they're fixed just by throwing it at the wall.

Are you using iTunes on a PC? Then bingo. It'll be slow and sucky and bad, even though it says it's PC-compatible, it aint. Ask any IPOD DOCTOR or whatever at the gay stores and, if they're honest (PFFT), they'll tell you that.

Just back over it in your pick-up.

I remember that thread.

Plus its BS that an ipod can only play such a limited array of formats anyway.

What file formats do you have that don't work? I just convert anything that doesn't.

the itunes help board is full of people trying to find out how to solve this problem. i tried everything i could find and nothing worked. i wonder when they will put an emergency update out, seams they havent even been able to produce the error themselves.
