And what happens when you (try to) import those files?
ill be damned, i dont know how i missed that, thanks.

what the hell is an mpeg audio file? half my music seams to be that type of file. it tells me it couldnt add the file or that some songs couldnt be put onto my ipod. ill have to fish out the ipod and plug it in to get the exact message.

i was having a problem with the latest oc remix compilation - VOTL, 7 songs wouldnt go onto my ipod but i forget which ones.

Thank you Ωbright for the sig fix!

If you're talking about one of the Datel units, those are about the worst options of all. I'd recommend the CycloDS Evolution or M3 Simply but those are both Slot-1 devices meaning they are the size of a regular DS cart and therfore require a Micro SD card.

I R SUPID but do that work with a regular ole' DS or a regular SD card? 'cause the Datel one works with a DS Phat and a regular SD card.

So iTunes was able to import the songs, but you weren't able to get them onto the iPod? That could easily be a firmware issue. Did you have your iPod updated to the latest version?

MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3, aka MP3 is an Mpeg Audio File, along with MP1 and MP2.

great, not its totaly crashed on me. atleast apple is inventive for the graphic they chose to tell you the thing is ****ed.

oh wait here we go its righted itself now.

only current conflicts are 7, which is some kind of wip file? work in progress? is that even possible? every single one is a mp3 and run fine on their own. ipod doesnt like its format?

seams it didnt save my last editing session for some reason either.

edit: praise the lord! i can now finally move entire folders of music into my ipod without making multiple copies of the song!

They work with either DS but the slot's too small for a regular SD card. I'm not sure which Datel product you're talking about with an SD card though. The Max Media Dock uses a compact flash card and the Games n' Music is just a knockoff of the devices I recommended and needs a micro SD just like those do but at least it comes with one.

If you want something that'll work with a regular SD card you'll need a slot-2 flashcart and a passcard, or a GBA Movie Player. I have a GBAMP, the quality isn't much though because it was designed for GBA. Those are hard to find these days because nobody's been making them since the Slot-1 devices came out. Or get a Play-Yan but you have to import those from Japan.

You should uninstall itunes and throw your iPod away.

For whatever reason I thought the max media thing worked with a SD card.

Ah well. I'll just plug it into my Wii.

If you had bothered to read any information about this new MP3 player you purchased and its partner software, you would have known the limits to its music formats and what "organizing your music library" means and how to avoid it if you don't want it.
Ive gotten both my Nano and the pos 80gig as gifts. If I hadnt gotten them for free, I wouldnt have gotten them at all. Plus its BS that an ipod can only play such a limited array of formats anyway.
