    Zack and Wiki not selling well (adventure games)

    It's really a shame...but makes me feel good about my purchase. Maybe it would do better on the DS?

    I don't know if it's the Titan A.E. effect (too kiddy for adults, too much thinking/adult for kids), or if people just don't dig adventure games anymore. I love all the new Sam & Max games and have beaten them all. I was in love w/ all the King's Quest and Quest for Glory games back in the day, but games like that are few and far between now.

    The closest to that which sells well is Phoenix Wright, so at least I can take some solace in that.

    I think I'm firmly against anything Blank and Blank. Sam and Max? Never heard anything about it except for here. Zack and Wiki? Wiki's a weird choice for a name. Does Zack go around fighting crime with Wikipedia? Is he the newest member of the Witwicky family? The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.

    Of course there's always Bill and Ted but I think I've made my point. At the very least I've made a post in Kire's topic so he should feel swell.

      I had never heard of this game before.

      I will say that when I hear the name I immediately think "kid's game." Sounds far too close to "Drake and Josh."

        Unless it's Harold & Kumar.

            Though...

            The game is posting shockingly low sales numbers. Could that be because the game makes people think?
            No, it's because it is a 3rd party title on the wii and no one's ever heard of it.

              I grew up with Kings Quest, Space Quest, Zork, Quest for Glory, etc.

              But ya, you aren't shooting goblins so automatically it's a bad game.

                  I'd like to play Zack and Wiki.

                  The real problem? I would rather play the five thousand other things coming out this season first.

                      If they would've just released this game, say, around August people would probably be willing to give it more of a chance.

                      Think about BioShock. The main reason that game was such a hit was because there was nothing else out there worth playing at the time.

                        I don't think capcom has anything to worry about. Look at what happened with Phoenix Wright. it wasnt a hit at first. few stores ordered it, but word of mouth spread about how great it was and that made the value of the existing copies triple on ebay because everyone wanted it, which resulted in capcom doing several more production runs to satisfy the demand, and it ended up being one of the most successful DS series there is.

                        I think the same could happen with this game.
