I was wondering, does anyone play any board games? What are your favorite board games? Or card games for that matter?
I have a friend that loves board and card games, and he always finds the most interesting games. I'm usually afraid to buy any board games because most of them seem to suck.
One of my favorites is Carcassonne. You build cities, roads, and farms and compete for ownership of each and try to get the most points based on the size of the city or length of the road, etc.
This past weekend, he introduced me to a board game called "Robo Rally". I thought it was a stupid name at first. Then we started playing it and I thought it was totally awesome. Everyone controls a robot and you have to move it to each numbered flag on the board in numerical order. You use 5 program cards to program how your robot moves for each turn(moving forward, back or turning). Everyone reveals their program cards one at a time and everyone moves at more or less the same time. And after every move you can shoot your laser if there's a robot standing in front of you. And you can push the other robots and mess up their programs. It's much fun, not to mention all the special abilities you can get. And it was made by Wizards of the Coast and their usually pretty good at game making.
