    After much deliberation....

My team and I have decided to cut the Summoned Creatures from the game. Yeah, it was a cool idea and all--and it worked perfectly--but its just that when we first began this project, the Summons had a connection to the plot--albeit small--and now they just have no purpose at all. I will probably try to use this idea in a future game, but it just seems as though The God Gene has enough features as it is without that one as a convolution to both the plot and the gameplay.

I'd like to add some insightful comment here, but really, I just kept seeing this thread without any responses on the main forum page, so I figured I'd say something.

Also, I still want to know how you were gonna use monsters as summoned creatures in your party....

I never said I was using monsters. I said I was using the least human-y looking playable character models in there.

        The summons included:

--A Gigas with powerful attacks and a powerful howling special attack.

--A Treant who's stone throwing can slow enemies, and who's special abilities channel the lost power of the earth to heal.

--A demonic ice spirit in the form of a woman (yeah, I know, not that original) with the ability to freeze foes solid in ice.

--A frog who was once the guardian of death (And Aesop fable reference, really) when he's fully charged, he can open this Jar and unleash death upon your foes.

--An elf queen who's fiery passion and varied arrow skills skewer and burn enemies.

--And little imp who's power surpasses all others.

...too bad I had no place for them after what I've got done of the game is all said and done.

--Oh and JPS, I'll have a demo out sometime this month (if not, then early November, my list of things to do is growing bigger by the minute. Now I'm going to audition for the city's Christmas Production!)

Those sound really cool. Oh well, now you can use them in your next game, like you said. I too look forward to this coming out!
