After playing Hit & Run, i have my doubts about this new one.

Although I did like the "God of Wharf" ad.

I haven't liked Simpsons games since the Arcade beat-em-up. Even the NES games were ****. I just played them because I loved The Simpsons.

I hold no hope for this one.

I finally got to play it.

I'm very impressed by this game. Probably the the best Simpsons game next to Hit & Run.

The demo showcases a boss level! Not a regular level, a boss level! Bart and Homer are the only playable characters as they try to destroy that giant Donut guy and evil Krusty the clown dolls. The cinematic scenes are now in cartoon form, similar to the style of the show.

Each character has a regular attack and a special attack. Homer can turn into a giant ball-form and mow down enemies with the boost button and ground slam. He can also burp to stun enemies. Holding the burp button will power it up so Homer can unleash HOLY FIRE BREATH!!! His power-up is the chili pepper(Remember that episode?)
The power-up causes Homer to become invincible. Air tanks allow homer to inflate himself so he can float in the air! AMAZING!

Bart can turn into Bartman, which enables him to hover in the air and he can use a grapple hook! He uses his famous slingshot to shoot baseballs at his foes. Like Homer, he can charge his slingshot for a devastating attack. His power-up transforms him into Robot-Bart, making him invincible and able to shoot lasers! Teamwork is needed for success.

Anyway, the graphics are excellence. Reminds me of the show! The environments are nice and expansive. There are many buildings, cars to jump on.

Finally, there are many items that unlock trophies.

I guess that's it.

took me 39 Minutes to beat the boss. ARGH!

The only problem I found was that the camera could be hard to deal with sometimes. Also, YOU CAN'T DO COMBO ATTACKS! You have to mash the button. I hope that's fixed soon.

Probably the the best Simpsons game next to Hit & Run.

No, THIS game truly captures the look of the show. I feel like I'm playing an episode. Unlike the previous games.

I know what you meant. I just think it's funny that you use the words "Excellent graphics" and "The Simpsons" in the same sentence, considering one of the things that made the show stand out when it first came out is how crude the animation was, not how slick it looked. Feel free to correct me, Nixon.

Graphics wise, what's always bothered me about current simpsons games is that I don't think anything looks right when they are done in 3D. At least this new one is looking more cel shaded to try to emulate how the show looks.

I just got done playing the demo, and dare I say it was actually quite good.

It was very beautiful to look at, and the platforming mechanics are very solid. Plus it had a really cinematic score.

This'll easily probably be the best Simpsons game bar none. Considering all but the arcade title sucked.

I'll probably be giving this a rental on entertainment value alone.

Now give me a good Batman game.
