Help pls, saving a game with out a save point

i was wondering if there is a way to save the game with out using save points, but using the Save option in the menu i cant get it to work.. also is there like a ultimet guide to this game to help you with almost any thing u could ever want to know about or how to do? XD iv searched on here and can only find bits and peaces of things i wanna know nothing that say what every lil thing is. thank you very much.

You can save anywhere on a field map, but not in town or a dungeon....as for an all-in-one thread describing everything, not to my knowledge. You just have to use the search feature to find what you're looking for.

You can use both if you want to. You can have save points in towns and dungeons (as well as letting the player know that they can save in fields).

Heh, this is the easiest of the three RPG Makers.

Well, it's no guide book, but my thread answers basic questions.

Yeah, you can only save in a field. Towns and dungeons can't be saved in unless they have save points.

thanks again, but i have read ever little thing on all of this and more haha im not a noobie to this just havent touched it in a while.. long.. while.. haha and this seems more confusing then the other RPG makers even when i would make them from nothing but my own code and sprites on my pc XD

I never noticed that you could save out of the field. Is it on the square menu

Yes, it is. In a field, press the square button.

Go to "Config"

Select "Save"

Press X

Select "Yes"

Press X
