Idea for a rpg maker 2 game. Band of brothers

One day me and my brother walking down this long dirt road.Then a evil penguin popped and he was huge.He said find me the legendary sword of xion
. Me and my brother looked at eachother.And we said.Why?" Because ill kill if you dont.The penguin looked at us and shot missles and went into the creeping darkness. My brother andy and me aaron was confused and ran back to his house. Watching tv and eating some food.Then the magic penguin popped up again and said.What the hell are you guys doing.Arent you going to get the sword.We both said no we just want to relax.The magic penguin shot a weak volt of electricity at us.You got to do it or you will die.
We both said ok.....Then he dissapeared.

The quest to get the sword and dystroy the evil penguin with it!

You'll get better as you write more. There's nothing wrong with making crappy games either. They're a good way to get practice, just don't expect many people to play them.

The concept is highly cliched, but it was probably meant to be that way. It was also interesting, to say the least.

To answer your question, there is a sword object model and there are several pre-made sword attacks in the VFX editor for battles, or you can design your own sword VFX.

Now when can we expect this gem to be released, I'm guessing never.

Many people come on here with game ideas, but very few of those games actually are made or even started. This one certainly seems like one of the projects that will be aborted, but feel free to prove me wrong simple man.

In my estimation, simple, a "band" of something usually refers to more than two of said thing.

Call it Pair of Brothers.
Or Band of Evil Penguins.
Or Double Cheeseburger.
Or teh BI.
Or simply name it "simple man's 'Now That I Have RPGM2, I Have Absolutely No Idea How to Use It' experiment."



If all else fails, just add Ivan to the cast, make a town called Twiggertree, and throw in some necromancers, and call it, "The Necromancer Cronicles (sic), Part Two-The 'I Actually Got Around to Making It This Time' Version."

That guide is mostly covering VFX, (Visual Effects) so you should look at others sites for guides on scripting/other things too. (Trust me, the game isn't that hard)

Check out Hippy Hunt 2 if you want to see what the RPGM2 VFX editor is capable of. Don't expect making that kind of stuff to be easy though.

Question: Why would the magic penguin tell you to get this crazy sword only so that you could kill him with it? Just saying, doesn't sound like a smart thing for a magic penguin to do. All the ones that I've met have hidden their weakness like a good villain.
