I've wanted to be nice, but I'm younger than all of you people. I'm 5 foot 11 because I have a 15-year-old's bone structure, but do you are want to know my real age? I've wanted to be respected, but all of you hate young people. I can't work on my game just thinking about how evil most of you are. The only people that are nice to me are Valkysas, JPS and Obright. They are my best friends, and I want to be all of your friends. Please! I'm sorry to Red Dragon. I don't want you to go to hell. I want you to have a nice family with children, and I'm sorry for all I've done. I need friends on this site This is the greatest site in the world to me and I forgive the whole pavilion for my sins.

The thing is, on the pav, your age doesn't matter. I'm 15, but no one looks down at me for it. Thats why the pav is "the greatest site in the world." However, if you do act your age, that can seem kinda harsh. I was 14 when I joined, and I was a complete forum tard, and got plenty of negs as a result. All I can suggest is what fixed me up: lurk. Post very little, or not at all, and just read. Figure out what everyone else is doing that you're not. Thats why people sometime chew you out for grammar: because thats a big step towards fitting in, and they're trying to help. :D

Grammar and big walls of text are a 'no-no' for alot of people. It isn't hard to make sentences readable.

I don't know you that much, Simple (nor have I seen much of your posts), but
yeah, just don't go all Instant messenger on us, such as:

or something (I never really got into common teenage IM habits, but I've seen my brother use short words like that alot, and excess of '?' with '!'. I find it annoying).

It takes time to find your groove. sometimes, it takes certain people longer than others.

I'll offer you a big piece of advice. before you click that "post reply" button, re-read it and see if it makes sense. see if it's something you'd be able to get away with in school. if so, post it. if not, re-type the whole thing.

your horrible spelling and grammar are the only real problems that people have with you. You fix those, and you're set.

I may be off base on this, but it seems that you've been a topic of common interest to many members here. So your arrival, in a small way, kind of brought the Pav together for a while. Same thing with Hfran a while back. I do not think anyone hates you here; I think people are taking slight advantage of your slightly wide-eyed naivete, and the fact that, as already mentioned, you sentence structure, grammar and spelling are pretty bad. As Red Dragon said, if we really hated you that much, we would have put you on ignore, and your forum would only have about 7 posts in it right now. I think you pique people's curiousity, and as jvr said, it's a hazing process. If you can come over to the other side, you'll be alright.

Oh, and I honestly think simple man would have come out on top of that poll...:P

Simpleman, I certainly don't hate you and I don't think there are too many people here that do. I personally didn't mind the grammar or spelling at all. No one has the right to make you into a whipping boy or a running joke for it--and I don't think anyone has the right to make fun of your game ideas, either (don't confuse that with flat-out criticism, though, which you might want to take to heart). Your age wasn't the issue--I love seeing "kids" (I'm only 20 myself, so yeah...) pursue productive things in their spare time; it's a sign of brilliance. You know, for a while I really enjoyed your enthusiasm and effort here.

That's been tempered lately because I feel like you've been insincere a lot. Surely you haven't forgotten the whole "I got Gears for $1" story? Because the Pav is diferent than almost any other forum is the main reason I've stuck around so long. Most other forums are insiped little games and question topics and still no one seems to get to know one another. This place feels more real. It's your maturity that tends to tweak my buttons, and you need to think before you hit "new thread." When the guys around here poke fun, they do it because they are poking fun, and it tends to weed out the annoying people. You stuck around this long and it's made me respect you a bit more. The grammar is a good thing too, just because most of us on here are grammar nazis.

I don't know if anyone was really hard on me when I first got here, but they have been hard on me when I've made stupid threads or mistakes, and I like that. People here are honest and arn't going to babysit you. :D It's a good-place to "grow up" as much as one can grow up on teh intarnets.
