I'd love to put this on the pavilion when it's done.

That would be cool to have access to it directly from the pav. Making it more accessible to people who haven't become members might encourage more people to join up and join in the fun with us.

JPS - I like how you're using the actual screenshots to run the numbers in. That will make it much more user friendly, I think.

That wont be a problem Valk, though there will be updates quite often with new features and whatnot

and yes pagerron I was going to just use text boxes at first but I figured this way would be more user friendly, a lot more work but a lot more pretty

btw if someone can get me a good screenshot of the background so I can get rid of those empty boxes by copy/paste it would be greatly appreciated

Updated, a lot of scripting done, look at it in action so far

btw the File is to load and save configurations, the output makes easy-to-print text files for you and the analyze button simulates a
battle, giving you textual input on what would happen in a basic battle, and also provides tips on how to make a smoother battle
using the current configuration of characters/monsters

I'm a little unclear on exactly what the program is going to figure out for you.

This seems really cool, however. Awesome work, JPS!

A lot of people come up here asking why their character is attacking at zero, or why the monster is attacking more then the character, or why magic spells arent damaging the enemy, this will tell them why, all they have to do is plug in the stats

It will also serve as a way to come up with good boss fights, as the P M and the M P tells the program how many times the player has to hit the enemy to defeat him and vice versa, this program will work 2 ways, the "Analyze" way will simulate a battle to see if you have a good balance on already-made enemies, and the "Auto-Configure" way will give you enemy stats based on P M and M P input so that you wouldn't have to figure out all the stats through all the test-playing

                Thanks Obright

                      Re: RPGM3 Program

This system can be a HUGE help in taking the guesswork out of calculating monster and character stats because I can never figure out the proper battle balancing. I tried the initial setup, but that didn't seem to work. I also tried getting ideas from the sample game, and that also didn't seem to help much either.

Not just RPG Maker 3--I suffer the same problem with RPG Maker 1 too.

                        Re: RPGM3 Program

I tried making a playable game from the initial setup, going as far as to actually writing down the stats of every pre-made monster and ordering them, the problem is, they have way too much variety stats-wise to make a decent game

This should be useful. I haven't messed with RPM3 in a while, but it would be helpful with other things I'm doing. Good luck to ya.

I did the 'trial and error' thing...which worked...after about 6 months of tweaking. Having a utility like this is an INVALUABLE timesaver.

Yeah I know I have to tweak and testplay so many times to just get one battle right....I figured if I can make a program like this it would help not only me but everyone else tremendously

I'm looking at sunday to be completely done with the first version now that I have all the screenshots I needed(thanks again Obright), I'll submit it to the rpgmag in a setup file if I can(dont know how that works), but if I cant Ill see if Hito would still be willing to host it if the mag cant
