Anyone want to buy a semi-respected gaming mag?

Ziff Davis is trying to sell both EGM and 1Up.

I know a lot of people are harsh on EGM, but I still like it. I agree that it's past its golden age, but there's still SOME value in it.

With 1Up around there's no use for EGM. The same goddamn articles are online why pay $6 to read them a month later?

1up's pages usually screw up for me too.

I also recently got a notice saying my EGM subscription is running out soon.

With this news, I guess it's time to finally give it up. Been getting EGM since issue 79, but i find myself going to gamespot more and more for game info.

My problem with 1Up is that it is FAR too in love with Flash. There is way too much going on on the page. They need a cleaner, simpler interface. I like the content, it's the delivery mechanism that makes me want to tear my hair out.

I used to like EGM, but their quality waned over the years. I don't really read game magazines anymore since I usually go to websites like Gamespot to read about games.

If there was any memorable character that I remember from EGM, it had to have been Sushi X.
